You should know this prequel is only canon to the live action remake 2019 not the animated movies

They are brothers just the 3D/cgi version chose to have them be adoptive brothers.
well tbf he wasn't really adopted haha they just chose to be brothers and in the lion king it's never discussed they just say they're brothers thanks for watchinggg :)

@@TReacts. It's significantly weaker than the animated film, but it's worth a try. Despite its flaws, I enjoyed the film. If only because the Mufasa film is a prequel to the 2019 film, not the animated film.
