Where will you be taking questions for the Q&A cause I already have some
@@AchtungBabyZA you can ask them in here or any of the other videos. But I'll be doing a big Q&A request on my IG stories so make sure to follow on instagram.
When you gonna upload part 2?
Ok
So questions: While you're hiking where do you go to pee? Looks very crowded... And did they cater food to you as a vegan , or did you have to eat whatever they provide? And then finally, what happens when someone can't continue, how do they get back down? Does a guide/porter go with them?
you guys, huge credit to those locals carrying heavy luggages. their jobs ain't joke
The porters are incredible, they have such a tough job
So buzzed to watch this during quarantine 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Same!!
Same
My boss just climbed this a few months ago! She says it was one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences. She was lucky enough for their group to have gotten to the top right at sunrise which apparently is very unusual for most groups.
Now this is definitely what I call an adventure. Looking forward to seeing more.
yes it is! part two coming next week
Hey am a kilimanjaro guide hopefully am ready to take any one to from this amazing Mountain njaro kilima
Oh my goodness!! This is AMAZING! I spent the summer teaching in Tanzania and I LOVED this video with the Tanzania welcome song. This is a freaking DREAM! So glad you had fun
Nadine, you may not be the most subscribed or viewed travel vlogger, but you are far and away the best one I am subscribed to. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it does. Thank you for taking me to places I could never go, but where I can live the experience through your eyes.
Love it! Looks like so much fun! Can't wait to see Part 2 and the rest of the series.
It's amazing how much the scenery changes as you go from the trailhead up to the camps higher up. It definitely looks like a challenging hike but a fun one at the same time! I can't wait to see the second part next week!
Ya, the scenery and changing climate zones were so cool. Sometimes you feel like you're in a totally different part of the world than you were the night before, or even a few hours before.
Hiking videos have been my absolute favorite lately! Thank you.
Amazing and informative series Nadine ... thank you so much for this!!!!
You've inspired both of us to scale at least one mountain in our lifetimes. Can't wait to see the Packing Guide and your Q&A to prepare ourselves
:) yay! you definitely should(kili is a good one :P). they'll be good! Lots of info for anyone interested in attempting for themselves :)
Hey am a kilimanjaro guide hopefully am ready to take any one to from this amazing Mountain njaro kilima

Everything about this video is awesome! Tuned for the rest 😃
Congratulations on summiting Kilimanjaro! I did the same route back in 2015. Your video brings back a flood of memories!
Woohoo! We have so many dreams to hike this amazing mountain! I have been to Africa sooo many times, but never made time for it! 😁

Love the vlog guys!
I know this is literally the first video of the series, but could you do a "what I packed" video cause I am really interested in going myself after the whole corona thing:)
Yup, it's in the works! We're going to do a video on "what to pack" and another video with lots of other general information to prepare anyone who might be interested in climbing Kili 👍
When you going? I'm heading there in August
Hey Nadine. Gorgeous terrain. Thrilling experience. Thank you for sharing. Take care. :)
I can't believe how busy it looked ! Glad we did Mt Kenya. There was only two groups of us going up. Pretty much had the whole mountain to ourself!
Hi , I am a new subscriber. I am watching several videos on Kilimanjaro to prepare myself for it in a couple of years.. Nice video ! Thanks for sharing..
Amazing video! Completed the Machame Route myself on the 3rd with a summit date on February 29th! Congratulations!
oooo so excited for this series
hi there,
I did the same route this year in January, it's sooooo nice to see everything in a video again!! thank youu!!
I didn't train for it at all, but it was amazing, summit night killed me tho haha....
Fantastic video!! 👏👏👏👏
Fantastic camera work & editing 👌🏻 music
Love your video, looking forward to part 2, I went a month after you, summited 15th march, god yes it was tough!!! I can recommend kandoo adventures and vicky who works there, she was ace!
Hey Nadine! I decided to climb Kili after watching your videos - I successfully summited for my 30th birthday! thank you for the inspiration
OMG this is so breathtaking and u two so charming, could watch u for days ❤

What a climb and what view! excellent work :)
Cool video! Looking forward to the next one!!!

thanks for sharing this experience with us ☺️
Yor video is awesome , and congratulations on engagement!!!
The question is: how you book the trip?
Me and my husband dying to make this one!!!
Dang dude this vlog was so sick!!!!
That place is wild! Definitely going soon!
We'll have a videos on packing, planning, prepping coming out later this month if you're interested in climbing Kili one day 👍
This looks really awesome. We decided to leave Tanzania and stop full-time travel about a week ago because of Covid-19, so it's a little bittersweet watching this 😢. We were planning on climbing Kilimanjaro while there, but looks like we'll have to wait. In the meantime, we can watch your climb.
How exciting!
Yay I’m so excited about this series!!!! 💃🏼😄 I love making hiking videos too (I have a few on my channel) and *I can’t wait to film more* once we beat this pandemic!
This is the content which I want from this channel. Waiting for a long time for this sort of stuff.
Earlier before 2018 this channel used to be more adventurous than it is now.
we try and do a mixture of stuff :P Did you see our Scotland hiking trip in 2018?
@@heynadine yess how can I miss any content from your channel 😃
The best thing is that I am vegetarian & lot of vegan stuff over here to eat.
What a cool Experience, I cannot wait for part two.
it's a good part 2!!! hehe
Such an inspiring video!
Excited for part 2!
Was a little too much of a hustle for me. The Mt. Itself is eroded so I went partway up.
Congrats on summiting Kilimanjaro! It looks like you had a great team supporting you up the mountain. It would be much harder (and a lot less luxurious) without the porters helping to carry everything up the mountain. They are amazing and work so hard to get us foreigners to these summits!
I agree. Porters are soo important!
Wow! Looks super fun
Awe, now I just want to see the rest! Looks fun so far but somehow I have a feeling the second half is going to be a lot harder. Have you gotten to know your guides during the trip?
Haha, ya... spoiler alert: it gets way harder.
Our 3 guides were awesome! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help anyway they could.
My parents hiked Mt Kilimanjaro & I hiked to Machu Picchu when I was 10, found this so interesting and made me want to do it myself even more, can’t wait for part 2 😄
Be careful and good luck😄🤗
It is great that you are having such a good hike. Thanks for sharing your adventure and perspectives. 😀
It occurs to me that the highest I have been is about 7900 feet, 2408 meters) on Mount Shasta, California. I will have to up that some day!
That was pretty similar to me before this hike. The highest I'd been before Kili was about 2,300m at the top of a ski resort, lol.
Was so great to see all of this again 🥰 I just got back from completing the Lemosho Route in early March! Was incredible!!
That's awesome, congrats! Did you have good weather?
Matt Ofstie we did for the first 3-4 days actually. Very little rain considering it was March!
OMG it's so beautiful there!!!!
Wow! You're going to the top of the world!🌎
awesome! I want to do this now!
Wooo! I went in February too! Also did the machame route! Glad I was able to do it before this whole crazy pandemic happened...
Went in August 2018. To Stella pt. Man r dey cont entious. I ended up getting rid of any problems by giving the touroperator160clean americancash. He knew what that was🌏
Omg I would love to do something like this!! 😍😍😍
this is great video- and great information. can you tell me what porter service did you use?
Wht a beautiful place nice adventure well done guys 🙏u need to explore Algeria as well
Yay! Excited to follow along with your trip. I'll be climbing in December!!
Karibu Tanzania
That exciting! Which route are you planning to do? Make sure you check out our upcoming vids where we'll be giving lots of info and tips regarding the climb 👍
I'll be doing the Machame Route too, so I'll be watching and taking notes!
@@laurenswett582 One of the most breathtaking views machame route with 99 percent successful to reach summit at uhuru.
Since we can't travel at this time looking forward to this! Thanks!
you are welcome!
Hello Alysha, the water bladder is a good idea to maintain a hands free approach meaning you stay hydrated while operating your phone!🤗 Helpful when filming your adventures leaving Matt to get 2nd unit shots to capture your best side!🤗
Good video;👍
Amazing video 😉
Did the hike 3 weeks ago, crazy how empty the mountain is now comparing to how it usually is during high season.
Came here from the high on life channel and absolutely love it
welcome friend!
What beautiful morning views! 😍⛰️
The sunrises on the mountain were some of the best i've ever seen 🌅
Live in Kenya, was planning to go to MT.Kilimanjaro after my final exams but corona messed up the plan. BTW awesome video keep it up, ur video is so adventorous
This brings back memories of the porters singing the same song to my group 😊
And now you'll have it stuck in your head again for days... lol. When did you climb and which route did you do?
I saw your Q&A. How heavy was your back pack?? Also how steep is the climbing like the kissing rock part.
Hey Nadine is such a cool name 😁 and I love the way you pull your faces while talking, happy hiking 🥾 🥳
haha thanks
You also give me travel goals by your videos. This wasn't an exception. I want to visit an unknown place with you. How are your days passing during this quarantine?
How did you train for this? I would love to climb the kilimanjaro but I’m wondering how much I need to train
nice climbing nadine
Planing to climb soon from kenya
music in video is awesome
Love this for me
Great job Amazing....
Hey Nadine, I have been watching your videos as I am getting ready to climb Kili next year. thank you so much I have learned a lot from your videos, and taking notes for myself. Wanted to know what socks (brand) have you used for hiking?
We used socks from Smartwool, Icebreaker, and Darn Tough. There are plenty of other sock brands that probably make great hiking socks, these are just the ones that Nadine and I have the most experience with and have been happy with them. Good luck with your climb!
I think I want to do this but so out of shape. GOALS
This vlog was so good! I’m quite new to your channel but I really like the videos so far! 😊
Just wondering, what your company did you do your hike with?
We went with Kandoo Adventures and i'd highly recommend them to anyone wanting to climb Kili. Everything was fantastic 👍
We did with Bravekilimanjaro Tours great team with experienced Guides and porters who knows well kilimanjaro who Grown up through through kilimanjaro village karibu..😊
very very cool video
Çok beğendim iyiki paylaştın
3:14 Kara and Nate had those in Antarctica!
I'm looking forward to discovering my own "slutty pace" when I do Kilimanjaro. 😉
Wow! Your toilet is so flash! When we hiked the Inca Trail we literally had two buckets with a plastic bag in a tent. One for number 1 and one for number 2 hahah
haha, that works too i guess
Great 👏
I feel like I've already seen this footage from you guys? Did you have an older video with some of these clips?
We posted clips on Instagram stories :) so if you follow along their you might have seen a bunch
