I noticed it in both the original advertisement and the illustration in the collector’s guide. It kind of hit my OCD a little bit and that’s why it jumped out at me. I’ve never been able to find a picture of one with the original load because all of the loose boards got scattered on Christmas Day. Thanks for watching 👍🏼🇺🇸
That’s neat that you are restoring them back to how they would have been when the little owner got his or her new truck. I saw the picture of the two trucks and immediately thought of making a local historic load.
Most of the time that’s what I try to do first. It’s only the really bad ones, where I don’t have nearly enough parts, that I will use to build a full custom. I have one truck that I got with a decent, homemade flatbed that I cleaned up and left alone. I ended up making two loads for it, one is walnut bins with my walnut company name, and the other is a load of fruit bins with a mix of names on them. Some of the bins have one of my Cal Poly roommates name, some are an exact copy of his dad’s orange bins (he was a mentor to me), and the others have my name and town. They look just like many trucks on the road during harvest where a couple of neighbors are helping each other out. Maybe I will do a short with just that truck. Thanks for watching 👍🏼🇺🇸
That’s what I was thinking, bins or lug boxes. The truck also reminds me of a former hay hauler in the islands, 20 something foot flat bed with cheaters, and he would stack a trailer of equal length on the back of the bed and get a load of hay.
@@westsidesjvalley I wanted to build the bins for years but couldn’t figure out how to get enough detail for them to look right and still have some strength to them. One day it hit me and I just went about building them. Mrs Failure loves them because right now they are full of small pumpkins and soon they will have a Christmas tree.
Gosh you really do a lot of research for a project like this! I would add the words "How I..." to the start of the video title. Also make sure you have selected the "How To" setting rather than "vlog" or something else, as UA-cam LOVES that setting! Hope you don't mind me making suggestions - stronger together etc etc. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul 👋
I didn’t hear anything either but I don’t watch TV at all and I didn’t listen to the radio yesterday. I didn’t see it on either facebook or UA-cam. Such a shame. I just happened to think of it when I said the date.
Wow! Incredible work! I like how them boards are staggered! 👍👀👍 I never would’ve thought of that👍

@ Sounds like a bin making video should be in the future :)
You are a perfectionist! Your work is clean .
Thank you very much. I have been accused of that in the past and it’s good to know that I still have those skills.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼🇺🇸
Those are some cool flat beds. It must have taken a lot of work to put them together. You have a lot more patience and dedication than me.
It wasn’t bad. Probably 2-3 hours. It gives me a chance to do a little woodworking and enjoy my tools.

I saw no mention of the 83rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor on either Facebook or UA-cam
Yeah- I noticed that too.
I just happened to think of it as I said the date out loud.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼🇺🇸
Geez I had no idea it was Pearl Harbor day I haven't heard one word anywhere course I'm not on social media and I don't own a television
