Caligura is only ugly because he’s such a monster (literally). I’m not saying he’d win any beauty contests even if he were a good guy, but he’d look cool.

I'd also consider that Marina isn't trans because of gender identity but more necessity, (although they do say it suits them more, but crossdressers still identify as male and just like feminine clothes so jury still out)
I always liked to think these kind of cases just break the social norms we know of, and it just doesn’t matter anymore. Whenever its gay, straight, or something else, I’d just accept it either way and let the love flow.
