- Hey guys! I am going through my ENTIRE eyeshadow palette collection today! Things have gotten out of hand and very disorganized this year, so it is time to part ways with a few of my beloved palettes. How many will that be? Watch and see! I hope you enjoy this one!

I know they've got to be a pain in the butt, but just letting you know, I do love and watch the 7 Looks videos. Even if I don't have the palette (which I usually don't) I use them as creative inspiration! (Less than 7 would be fine!)

Me too! I totally agree. (Patty Alonso does 5 looks w/ one palette often! she is very sweet & fun to watch) Even if I don't have the palette I have tons of singles & other palettes that I can possibly use to dupe a look..... It's the IDEA'S that I need!!

What about doing 3 looks 1 palette instead of 7, less work for the videos that don’t do as well but still gives inspiration for those of us that like that format. 🙋🏼♀️

Love that idea. I'd love for Mandy to do this with the BH Cosmetics Zodiac palette. It's the only huge palette I have but I tend to use the same colors every time I use it. I love their shimmer formula in that palette because it's forgiving to those of us with older lids. Don't know about the releases after that specific palette but when I bought it they sent me a free 9 pan full of shimmers. I tried it once. That formula is not forgiving in the least. 😟 Just give me some looks to recreate with the Zodiac Mandy and I'll be so thankful... 🙏

I found Mandys channel because of the 7 looks one pallet videos. I watched them all and still do. I watch them again when I want to get inspiration to use some of my palettes and do different looks. Thank you Mandy for all your hard work in those videos. God bless you
Mandy, I found and subsequently fell in love with you and your channel because of your 7 looks videos. It breaks my heart to hear that those videos do not perform well. They are so good and I completely understand that they take a lot of effort to produce. I hope that you will still consider doing a few of them this year. Those are honestly the videos I save and actually rewatch (though I will still love and watch your channel even if you cant find the time or inspiration).❤❤❤
Maybe try a 3-5 looks one palette instead of 7 (if that would help decrease time it takes you to make them) and just try to make very different looks for the few looks you choose. I do like your 7 looks videos.
The expiration dates are based on how long the company has paid for the test. Has nothing to do with the product going bad, especially powder products. You are right and some company's whom I won't mention train their makeup artists and sales reps to push the expiration dates.. You are right , it's to push more products.
100% agree!!! I wish other UA-camr's would quit pushing "expiration dates" on powder products. Truly I only agree with mascara tossing, as it is really up super close to your eye. I have many liquid foundations that work beautifully and I believe "most" people use pretty good judgement when you open or pump out some foundation and it looks/smells funny.

I found your channel bc of the 7 looks one palette video featuring the Sultry palette. 💗 I still go back and rewatch those videos for inspiration. Like others have said, maybe do 3 looks one palette to shorten the workload on those videos. Either way, I'll keep watching.
You have a makeup channel, so as a by product, you are naturally going to have more eyeshadow palettes. I need to learn that I am just an ordinary girl that loves makeup. I don’t need to have a collection the size of a beauty influencer. Btw, I love my Tati palette. It probably will be a collector’s edition. I will keep it forever.
I love you 3 looks where you talk through how you get your look. I need to master how you get a soft look with color - I need to look professional, but I must indulge my love of looking my best with different looks every day. ❤️
I wish Alter Ego would ship to Canada! I'd like to try their palettes.
Just bought some of their palettes and shipping to Canada via Shipito. Pricey but can get a couple of palettes for a little more than the cost of one ND in Canada so I’m telling myself it is worth it! Lol

So I’m at the hair salon under the dryer with tinfoil sticking out of my noggin. This video pops up and what do I do? I yell, YESSSS!! 🤪 Needless to say, I’m getting some odd looks. But I don’t care!! GO MANDY!!😀❤️🥰😂
I would also advocate for the 3 looks 1 palette if that is easier on you. I save these videos into palette playlists and revisit them as I am playing with the palette and trying to better grasp all the possibilities in the palette. It also helps me remember on days when I want to use a palette or shadow and can't think of what to do with it.
I would like to see a 7 looks on the Jaclyn Hill palette. 😉 I also have barely used mine. I don't know why, I just don't grab for it. I'm on the fence with decluttering it. Maybe you can help me decide. 😁 Love your videos!

I love that you did not declutter a palette just bcos it’s been discontinued or a limited edition. Thank you. It gives a chance for us who love the colour story to be inspired next should u include it in your “nothing new” series.
I agree 1000%. If you like a palette, keep it. Doesn’t matter that it’s discontinued-some YTer started that and some others have followed like sheep. I would have a separate area for my nostalgic palettes even if I never use them again.
Also, I’m glad you don’t buy into the hype of the expiry dates on powder products.

The OG chocolate bar is still my favorite and most used, even though it’s one of my oldest! Sweet peach is another of my top favorites. Still. Even though it is OLD.
This is so satisfying for my eyeshadow loving soul! 🥰 It is, for sure, my favorite makeup product to buy. I can sit and swatch my palettes for hours! Still going to HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you try the UCANBExAnwen palette! Every time I use the shade Pixies, I think to myself, “Mandy would love this!” I love your multi look videos. Maybe fewer looks per palette?

BTW, the dates are meant to scare you and make you replace. They even put dates on bandaids lol!
I love that you have a touch up my hair palette! So relatable! 😂 And that seems like the perfect use for a Morphe palette! I totally do love that Jaclyn Hill palette. It was great. It would have been even better of the neutrals had been cool toned. I don’t do warm tones.

I love that the palettes you use look used! It shows you actually use them and enjoy using them. I'm one that uses my palettes, as well as uses them as decor in my bedroom. I feel I'm getting my money's worth. 😉 Applying eyeshadow, brings a little joy.

I love the 7 looks videos. And I would love to see you do them with older palettes such as the original Jaclyn Hill, original Naked, etc. I am trying to cut down on the amount of eyeshadow I am purchasing. So being able to watch these 7 looks videos really helps me with using what I have instead of constantly buying the new things.

Yep!! As long as you are mindful of basic hygiene and washing your brushes... replacing shadows quickly becomes a revenue generating consumable. Mascara, skin products and anything around lips/eyes...toss. (referring to liners, lip or eye)
I’ve seen those beauty expiration dates for years in beauty mags etc and with time, those timeframes have shrunk but yet formulas haven’t really have not changed. It’s pushed by beauty companies and based on nothing. What research has gone into those dates and they are based off of what? It’s also ridiculous to suggest an eyeshadow goes bad in 2 years but then charge $45, $65 or more and funny how drugstore esp in regards to eyeshadow doesn’t have those dates? Why? It’s BS and geared to you buying more makeup. Yes you should sanitize your makeup, your makeup storage, brushes, etc. You should also store in cool, dry places blah blah. That should be a given of course. I judge based off of smell and performance. If it’s dried out. Has changed texture or consistency. Then you know it’s time to go. But in no way am I’m tossing a $129 Natasha Denona palette after 2 years bc some beauty rag, blog, etc fear mongers and blathers on about expiration and your makeup. I am not advocating for holding onto makeup for decades btw but I also know I’ve been wearing makeup for years and have never had any eye irritation, rash or anything so I will hold onto what I’ve got. Liquids esp if they have SPF is different. But things like mascara, foundation etc are not things I have a huge supply of so I use what I have and buy when I run out. Mascara I find tends to dry out by 6 months of repeated use so replacing that often makes sense. But powder things like eyeshadow, nope I’m not tossing until I’m good and ready!

About the only expiration dates that matter are for milk and nitroglycerine tablets.
I love the 7 looks but would be happy with 3 or 4 looks. They are especially helpful with large or colorful pallets that can be overwhelming. Love your channel.
I love that you are unapologetic...not gonna get rid of it...The End! I think it's nice to go through your collection take inventory and really see what you love.
Something I am planning to do for myself soon is expand my storage. I think you might need to do that Mandy. You are running your own business with this channel really those palettes should be tax deductions ;-)
Noooo I love your 7 looks videos. I often go back to them for a refresh of inspiration.
Maybe consider doing a you tube poll on which new releases we want to see with a 7 looks and only do it once a quarter.

I have great high end palettes but I have to say I love my BH palettes. I use them often.
Hooray for declutters where you don’t feel like you have to get rid of much! If you love something and you use it or want to try to use it, I’m so glad you’re keeping it and giving yourself that chance if that’s what you want to do. I don’t want playing with makeup to make me sad, and forcing myself to get rid of things I’m not ready to part with would have that effect. Great video, great collection, and I’d love to see maybe a “second chance” palette series where you do two looks with palettes that you are thinking of decluttering to give them a last try before making that choice!
To clarify, I’m happy with massive declutters or declutters where you get rid of one or two things. The only thing I want to see if someone being comfortable with their choices, rather than seeming upset or agonizing over feeling like they “should” get rid of something when they clearly don’t want to. I just don’t want declutters to seem painful. 💕

I found you because of a 7 looks video. I think it works when there is a new launch for a popular and anticipated palette. Doing less looks with one palette would still be great to watch.
I love the 7 looks videos because I can see the versatility better then my own imagination. And the Morphe 350 palettes you showed is the 1st Morphe palette that even appears to me.

I always wish y’all would open the palettes up and lay them on the floor to see how many are really similar. You’ve got two coral Colourpop palettes and one coral Juvia’s Place one along with Two or three lavender/purple palettes and we’re only 8 minutes in! Just a suggestion. Really like your channel!

Dream street was my first CP palette and it’s still my fave. I’ve panned 5 shades in it. The Garden Variety was a disappointment to me, too. I’m gonna give it another shot but I was not too impressed. Which is a bummer cause I do really love the color story.
Once I got it I had a hard time making looks which isn't something I generally struggle with. It was a weird flop
@@Theblondebass1 Yeah, same here. And the super shock shadow in my palette performs very strangely. It doesn’t adhere to my lid. It just sort of lifts off. Weird!!

I think you would need a very light hand with that palette or one shadow looks
I'd probably suggest pulling in a neutral shimmer to tone down the vibrant mattes of the palette. I love the two simmers in the palette, but they are not subtle. I think the mattes are pretty versatile with a light hand

Hahaha! I still had my original wet n wild comfort zone palette until quite recently! The cover was broken, and 3 shades were panned right down to the bottom! Loved it!
After having purchased an older Alter Ego palette on a whim and wondering what to do with it, I watched your 7 looks palette on the Natasha Denona palette it was based on. Every time I watch your videos I feel like I can actually use my palettes! Not knocking other creators, because they come up with some amazing, gorgeous looks, but often they aren't really wearable for me. You always create such beautiful, wearable looks. That being said, do what you love.

Loved this video!!!! Please show us how to use the CP Raw Beauti Kristi palette. I keep staring at it.... I don’t use mattes a lot. BH Naughty is now 60% off...$11.60! I grabbed one. Thanks for showing us all your eyeshadow palettes! I’d be curious to see some looks with the UD Naked palette. I have that one but I feel stuck with creating looks with it. I also don’t know how to use the blue in there. Your looks are the best so I’d like to see how you use it!

I would a 5 look instead of 7 because 7 can get overwhelming. I would categorize in like day time, date night, girl's night, bold, and minimal. I would also poll on how many looks to do on a pallette to challenge your viewers on how many looks they see in one pallette.

I would say save the work of a 7 looks video for a new release. However, I would encourage you to dig into the Jaclyn Hill palette (maybe a shop my stash video). I am definitely not a fan of Morphe, but that palette (in its original formula) is really quite good. It's just missing a matte brow highlight.
I know Kristin Gehm (originator of the 5 Looks 1 Palette video) stopped doing them because the number of views for the amount of work wasn't worth it. It's a shame because I love those type of videos, both for helping me to decide on purchasing a palette and for inspiration once I own it.
Maybe as you are trying out a newer palette or just playing around with whatever eyeshadows you could post the looks to Instagram. That way you can achieve your resolution to post more and also those that want the palette inspiration can get it! I have watched all of your 7 looks videos multiple times even if I don’t have the palette simply because I think you are a magician in color pairings and using brighter or bolder color in a softer way!! Your eyeshadow content is my favorite💗

You should use Jacklyn Hill palette ...... the formula is amazing! I think that you would really love it! You will get a ton of use out of it. I have hit pan on several shades in that palettes. You should do a 3 looks with it. ☺️. PLEASE!

Me too on pressed glitters! I think more palettes including topper shades was something of a transition for me to using pressed glitters very lightly to add some sparkle. I’m still not big on the really chunky ones that Colourpop sometimes includes, but even theirs have gotten more refined and I like them even for some daily wear! Tati’s glitter formula is still the best, though, hands down, at least for what I’m looking for in a glitter.
I wish I would have gotten the night owl and dream street from colourpop, but I’m sure I’ll survive without them. I think you have a great collection and I can tell they actually get used
Love your videos. Felt like we were hanging out. So fun. Gosh that is a lot of palettes, but necessary for what you do. I love seeing things I do not own. I also love your videos where you show multiple looks with one palette. Gives me inspiration and good solid ideas. I would watch any number of looks on a pallette. I am not interested in the morphe palette in general, just saying.

I think it would be fun to curate your own color story using the Sydney Grace singles and one of the small magnetic palettes, wear it for a few weeks/month, then create a new one and repeat.
I just got the BH Naughty palette on sale and I’m still kinda in shock. I know it got great reviews, but it’s insanely good. Lasts all day and I can literally not stop using it, I haven’t been that inspired in a long time!

I love Sydney Grace too! They are doing a collaboration with Temptalia due late Spring for 3 palettes that aren't limited edition! She is sharing updates on the process on both her website and her Instagram. I can't wait! The swatches that she has shown so far are gorgeous!
Hello. this is the first video i've watched on your channel. well, I just picked up another C.P. eyeshadow palette that was on super sale last night and was feeling guilty because my palette collection currently at 18 (counting my 3 elf quads as 1 and my 2 Kaja stacks as 1). I kept telling myself, you don't need it... but it's such a good price... Anyway, this video is making me feel way less guilty about buying more makeup even though I feel like I have so much already. I enjoyed your explanations of why you kept what you did & your favorites. It was very relatable and in line with my likes too. Finally, the Side by Side palette by Nabla is possibly my favorite of all the ones I own (CP, ABH, Tarte, ND mini, Persona). I hope you end up having a chance to get into it!
I just depotted 20 CP palettes, decluttered the repeats and fit them all in a jumbo coloured raine magnetic palette 😱 it was so refreshing!!!
Colourpop Dream Street was my first palette too 😍
