I make these weekly videos to share the love and passion I have for creating the products available on the webstore and to show my customers the products are all handmade. These are not “How to” videos. If you would like to learn more about how to make soap and other bath and body products, I found the below websites and UA-cam channels to be helpful.

Thankyou so much for this post , very helpful 😊
Thank you for watching 🧡
Wow! Even I'm a customer who either got free postage from u or paid in the fair rate, it's still so much to learn from u, from making a product to ship it out, even step involves thorough thinkings and cost effective, thank you very much, you're truly an inspiration to many ppl. ❤❤
Thank you 🧡 there really is so much more to running a business than people see on the surface.
It is the same over here in the States. One of the other things that we have to keep an eye out for is when we purchase boxes, sometimes they will have the measurement printed on the outside of the box but it does not have the code OD or ID next to it. You have to be careful to not go by the measurements printed on the box. Because most of the time, those measurements are actually the inside dimensions of the box and not the outside. So I always measure each box even boxes that I use all the time when I am doing the shipping label that box gets measured.
That's so true. Most of ours are outside measurements but they tend to get rounded to nearest number. Best to never assume as that excuse rarely holds up 🧡
I've never had a bill or admin fee, but I do pretty much everything you said :) This will be such a useful video for those unaware of all these things.
Hopefully it helps others. When used right, AP is so simple and easy to use and saves money.
So useful thank you! I am just starting off!
Thank you for watching 🧡
Very good information thanks Keeley it’s an enormous help to small businesses, postage is the biggest struggle of all imo. 😊
Thank you for watching 🧡 postage. Is that one thing an online business can't avoid, but AP doesn't really share enough on how to use their system properly
@@SoyandShea Agreed they need to do better. I find it amusing how they want measurements and weight considering how the parcels are sent. Lol. Thanks Keeley.
@@evehsv5556 The need to know measurements etc when using you own packaging so they know how much space it will take up in the truck and how many parcels they can fit based on weight :)
Great video, this will be helpful to a lot of people. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for letting me know the bags are made with 80% recycled plastic 🧡
Very informative. I’ve been stung before using my own packaging for larger items, will remember to give myself some wiggle room next time. I do use their small and medium post bags though as it does make it a lot cheaper 👏🏻
Hopefully this stops any future fees 🧡 another thing I do but didn't show is always measure twice - something my grandad instilled on me
Invaluable info tysm!
Thank you for watching 🧡
Very good information Keeley even though I am in the UK 😊xx
Thank you 🧡 I'm sure most postal systems have similar theories so hopefully it helps quite a few people
Thank you very much Keely this was very helpful and good timing for me to find this. As I am just about to relaunch my artisan jewellery business with a couple new website. But now I am wondering how to list pricing for postage costs as the websites don't go by weight they go per piece & combined with extra pieces.
Choosing a method of charging postage is tricky. You need to work out what will make your customer continue with the postage. Most like to know exactly what postage is before adding items to a cart so flat rate is always a good option.
@@SoyandShea thank you Keely you have been most helpful as this has been doing my head in for days. I had decided to do flat rate. Thank you very much.
I also use the aust post boxes as well there med box is bigger then there med bags so you can save money that way
hello Soy and Shea i love your videos where do you get your boxes from?
I generally get them from eBay. Just look up shipping boxes
@@SoyandShea thank you
How do I add Auspost to my shopify please
Unfortunately, you can't add AustPost without using another shipping App like Interparcel
Thank you I will do that🎉
Oh that's good to know as well thank you @@SoyandShea
