    Yan Shou Gong 延壽功 is an Authentic Nei Gong practice traditionally taught to only the most senior monks in the Southern Shaolin Temple. Each of the Yan Shou Gong sets condenses the best practices of the Nei Gong arts, making them:
    • Easy to learn.
    • Quick to practice.
    • Produce real internal skills.
    Many types of Nei/Qi Gong practices typically take years before a student feels any benefits from the training; Or even worse, the methods don’t produce any results. However, this is not the case with Yan Shou Gong, as the student will notice the benefits instantly, and in most instances, it can begin to deliver results within weeks.
    Yan Shou Gong also emphasizes the development of kinetic energy and the mind; in Chinese martial arts, these terms are referred to as Jin 勁 and Yi 意. It also teaches the practitioner how to perform techniques such as Grounding, Rooting, and Centering, creating awareness and mindfulness of being in the body. This can improve a practitioner’s martial abilities, but it can also help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression.
    The comprehensive instruction provided in this course is ideal for martial artists who want to study an authentic Nei Gong system/internal art. It is also suitable for those who have previously been too busy, living a stressed-out lifestyle, and now need to work on improving their health.
    Inner-door Students Group:
    As well as the comprehensive video instruction provided within the course, Master Yap has created a private group to personally guide students studying the Yan Shou Gong (Shaolin Nei Gong) course with him. Access to the group is exclusive and only available to students who enroll in this course. Students can use the group to ask questions, discuss the video lessons and share their training experiences with the other pupils. Master Yap will be on hand to answer any questions and share new video lessons with the group.

    I recently had the prevalidge of spending a week with several of these guys at the Shaolin Temple in Germany and it was a wonderful experience, as a Karate instructor the use of internals was never really worked on so this was a real eye opener and gave me so much more potential to use my Qi to become more effective and healthy - THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SHARING GUYS! P.S. I partnered with Lydon and Master Yap and Jimmy and resisted them when they demonstrated their art and it its real and very logical.

      @@br.m avoidance is best of course. I'd like to see these internal arts applied to likely real life situations where someone perhaps larger than you comes charging and swinging. With the hard styles the reactions are straight forward like punching the face or kicking the solar plexus. One develops the defensive instincts by hard sparring in class so I'm still confused how one learns to apply the soft internal arts to an actual fight where bones meet bones and the body moves in un predictable directions.

    You will never comprehend this without personal experience. You can watch videos and read books but without a good teacher forget it. When you feel the power you will immediately understand. The strongest weightlifter is weak compared to a real master of internal arts. Why don't they go into mma and prove it , because fighting is for dull stupid people. Health is most important in life. Fighting is a last resort. Killing is no way to live. Violence breeds more violence. How do you resist non resistance?

    • @tomazou

    • @pranakhan
      @pranakhan Рік тому +2

      Your judgement of MMA practitioners as "dull stupid people" is a weight you bear inside of yourself. This judgement is, itself, an obstacle to inner peace. Without inner peace, physical health is shallow. Everyone on this journey, regardless of the art they have chosen, is on a path. They have accrued wisdom alongside techniques, and if ones mind is open, are valuable sources one can glean information from.

    These guys are all the same...always with the academic stuff about CHi and or showing things standing straight up in non-realistic static situations or through drills that dont have body mass involved. Perhaps show this on someone that boxes ? I would like to see it in real fighting and a realistic situation . So the question here is what is he trying to say? this is used for some reason in self defence ? if so lets see it for real..he seems like a nice man in spirit but this has nothing to do with martial arts he just seems like a nice man. Not picking on him per say but rather the hoky things he has been taught and now he is passing on giving people falsehoods on fighting skills. But not sure what this has to do with self defence...if so it would be nice to see these guys prove it in real action taking on a punch that has body mass that is going right through the defender..not just a light slow mime like arm movement stopping in front of the person at about 0.0 speed and power. The latter seems to be the platform on which most of the magical masters seem to teach their hoky theories. I wish this nonsense would stop in martial arts.

    🤦🤦🤦 WHY THE EXTRA STEP FOR GOD'S SAKE 🙄🙄🙄
    Everytime there's a need to show the power or demonstrate the direction and effects why can't people just say "We are going to exaggerate the effects so you guys can see what we feel."
    - and then it's okay to do it.
    I know sometimes there's the factor of respect towards the master and that's why his students do it but now these guys do it to each other So the reason here is not to pay the respect to the master.
    Perhaps they agreed to pay the respect to the art, Okay, but somehow they managed to do the opposite and they gonna be doing it for the freaking rest of their lifes.
    The art is amazing on its own and I love and respect mr Yap Boh, his methods and nature but now I have lost almost all of my interest.
    I'm still into the 5 ancestors fist ☺️ and some of the Wumei movements... Ehhh...but I think I need to stop watching for a while, I just can't watch frauds...😢😢

    Body mechanics (angles etc), nothing else. No internal "mystical" force is necessary for this.

    • @Bevallalom
      @Bevallalom Рік тому +4

      You are correct. And they don't talk about mistycal chi neither. All internal styles are about deeper understanding of body mechanics.

    • @robertorossi4361
      @robertorossi4361 Рік тому

      @@Bevallalom Many internal styles talk about an internal "mystical" force. If you haven't both seen/heard about this, you haven't been paying enough attention. There are plenty of videos out there with people jumping left right and down, just by getting touched by "their" masters, which is exactly like selling snake oil. You have people pay believing that can (for the lack of a better word) perform magic. In reality in a self defence situation, they would most likely get a nasty wake up call.
      I don't doubt the skill of the teachers in this video for one second, but what was being showed would of course only work on somebody that didn't let go of your arm as soon as you got him/her in an disadvantaged position (i.e. bending the joint in a position it can't be bent or where it would hurt).
      Btw, this it how it looks like when you try to do "magic" on somebody who isn't so willing.

      Chi is largely misunderstood by Westerners. Its not some Invisible Energy. Its a short-form description, for a long and complex explanation. For example... if someone trained in Iron-Body conditioning... their bones and tissue, become more dense, and develop greater bloodflow circulation. Rather than saying that... they would say "That guy has good Chi". While some of these arts might describe Chi as Moving Energy.. (possibly because they didnt know how to describe them any other way), its all physical based mechanics. None of the proper Teachers, would argue that point.
      That said.. There is a huge difference between what most people Visually see from such arts... and what they would FEEL, if they participated in a physical demo themselves. This is because most of these things operate "Internally"... hence the name "Internal Styles". For example.. you cant visually see my Abdomen tightening. You dont know where Im placing my mass / center of gravity, merely by looking. Those are two shallow examples, of things that go Much deeper. For example... developing super elastic + Super Strong tendons... which are used to great effect, in being able to deal with extreme forces, and to be able to rebound such forces, in ways that the typical body isnt capable of.
      Developing Soft Power... cant be acquired by "External" training alone.

    Nei Gong Chi Gong (Kung) etc. are related to Chinese systems of health - so, why are you using Indian hand gestures _Anjali Mudra_ for Chinese-based exercises & techniques?
    Fist and palm salute _Bao Chuan Li_ is the traditional Chinese *greeting/respect* etiquette with a history of some 3000 years. Since West Zhou Dynasty (BC 1046-BC 771), people were using this etiquette when meeting peers.
    In traditional Chinese culture, learning courtesy comes before learning the art, and learning morality comes before learning the martial arts. _Ni dong wo de, laoshi_ ?
