    Ding showing why he deserves to be in the candidates and Pragg showing he belongs at the elite level 🙂 . The formation of bishop , knight and rook against queen is useful to know . Maybe call it the "Agadmator phalanx" 🤔 . But if you have a queen against rook , bishop and knight in a blitz game and low on time , eliminate the rook . Chances are the opponent wouldn't know how to mate with bishop and knight . he may need to watch the Agadmator video on that . 🙂

    • @pineapplesareyummy6352
      @pineapplesareyummy6352 2 роки тому +5

      Good point. The bishop and knight will also have to deliver the mate in 50 moves so the player has to be efficient.

    Antonio: When commenting on moves, you often speak of what "the engine" recommends. I think it would be great if you devoted an episode to your thoughts about chess engines. What engine do you use? Do you run all the games that you discuss through an engine analysis before deciding on your presentation (what to emphasize, which move to select for your "pause the video" moment, etc)

      With pawns it's probably a win for 3 minor pieces since the King can hide behind pawns and use those pawns to promote while also using those 3 pieces to gang up and win the opponents pawns. But in a pawnless open position like fhis the queen is too powerful and can check nonstop and generate too many fork threats if black pushes too much to attack white King instead of defending his own king from checks(and/or vice versa, aka using his King to defend his pieces and make sure he doesn't get forked and lose a piece).

    Seems like the longest game ever even though it is not. I can't imagine the pressure of the position and the clock as the players danced around on the brink of victory or defeat.
    Thank you.

    Clearly it's dings ability to hold and praggs ability to turn the match to his favor is what makes both player super grandmasters that being said pragg is my favorite player dings being my second favorite pragg has a chance of becoming a future champion 11:48 11:50
