- The Harmony H1215 - Archtone
Acoustic archtop - Sunburst
Production year(s) : 1944-1971 (other years possible, not verified)
One of the most popular archtop models. All birch construction (solid woods). Top grained to ressemble spruce, faux-flame on sides and back. Double faux-bindings lines on body edge, then triple line from about 1958. This one is a 1963
hardwood construction, with arched tops and backs. Hardwood necks, steel-rod reinforced. Ovalled hard maple fingerboards, grained to resemble rosewood, with 6 inlaid position markers. Bone nuts. Adjustable bridges. Nickel plated tailpieces. Celluloid pickguards, mounted on bracket. White striped edges and pin lines
These guitar were popular because they were inexpensive but played and sounded very good.
i have the same guitar it’s just i have less white on mine so crazy seeing someone with a guitar like this cause how rare they are
Thanks. Great demo 🙂
Alas this instrument has been sold.
I love my harmony took a while to find a solid one
How much did you get for this one? Fantastic looking guitar!
what is the perfect string bridge angle for this type guitar? how did you manage to get the action so low?
What's the best strings for this guitar?
where can i find a pickguard for mine?
Can i buy it from you?
Mine buzzes on twelvth fret E and A strings. How do i set it up ? Truss rod access?
I think some models had a non adjustable bar in the neck.
Which polish stu mac poilish did you use? Medium or fine? You didn't spend enough time on the details of how you got that shine with one bottle. PS: Just got a 1954, beautiful condition, super low action.
How do you tell what year it is from the model number? I have one of these too, I've owned it since I was 6 years old and it's the ONLY thing I have that my dad gave me. . .besides the ability to outdrink everyone and a propensity for self destruction lol
That model was my first guitar in 1969. It was a $37.50 piece of junk then. I see that people are willing to pay up to $500.00 now. All guitars don't improve with age. If you believe that its become something other than a crappy beginner axe you're kidding yourself.
