I loved the scalp massage, but since I'm black, I would have to leave there to use Kerastase hair treatments for a whole month... talking about leaving your hair dry... lol
Great video. I really wish I could visit a head spa but the ones I have found are crazy expensive. I do kinda find it off putting still about how they seem to wear gloves only when doing black hair. I’ve never seen them wear gloves only anyone else.
Thank you very much. I’m curious, are you based in the US? I’ve heard that they tend to be expensive that side. Honestly, I only go to the spas which have trailers on their websites wearing gloves on Chinese past clients as well because I truly believe some spas have different policies because water and product can damage hands if you’re doing that everyday. I’ve also been to spas here in China where they don’t use gloves while washing my hair. However, if they have images or videos on their sites not using gloves on other clients then pull them out for me - then I immediately leave because then it’s clear what they’re doing.
It makes more sense as a grown woman, to ask questions rather than imply racism over gloves🫤. I literally just went to a black braider that made me feel horrible because she wore gloves to BRAID my hair just because I have a dry scalp (something common with 4C black hair, easy fix with a drop of oil). I thanked her despite that, and she didn't even respond. THAT is offensive. Like she said that lady is working with her hands for hours and do you even watch videos of them doing Asian hair to say that? Let's do better ...
I love watching these videos but it also reminds me how our hair healthcare isn’t universal. Great massage but I feel this isn’t the healthiest for our hair. We need a good oil treatment or deep conditioner! Praying you can get your hair strength/health back! But the massage she scalp scratching is so soothing.
Hello, unfortunately I’ve never been to any spas in Shanghai so sorry! I recommend using this app though, you can find spas all over and checkout the prices beforehand: 大众点评 it has an orange and white icon
@@siphacingo I just went to an Asian head spa here in Chicago, IL and I brought my own blow dryer and heat protectant 😂😂 love them for not forcing it but I was getting my hair braided afterwards and that lady do not play about blow drying your hair.
Every spa does things differently, touching water and hair products on a daily basis isn’t ideal. Even on their website where I book, they’re wearing gloves on Chinese clients. I have videos on the channel of some spas I’ve been to where they aren’t wearing gloves so it differs from place to place 😊
Are tot aware that you have ads in this video. I know sometimes YT might put them in depending on the settings to choose when uploading.I Fell asleep, but ads kept waking me up …
I wouldn't trust anyone washing my hair with gloves on,,especially with your hair type, it actually cause breakage, I have the same hair type and i think a good salon would have hair products for every type of hair in general. Good luck.
I am black girl and in Hairschool we learn to use handgloves. Because water can destroy the protective barier of the skin. So if you get a skin allergy and you are unable to work again and by accident the insurance find out that you were not wearing gloves to protect your Hand you might not get insurance money. How will you live if you are then handicaped because of a severe allergy on your hands? You should rather trust hairdresser who wear gloves. Because those are very mindful oh. yes! Because They apply what they learned
Typically hairdresser dont wear gloves because they are expensives. You are supposed to use one per client. Instead of investing money on Hygiene and safety they prefer to not follow the rules established by Professionals . That is the reason why infections spread

Where is this located? Would love to know what type of treatment and price
This was in Suzhou, China. Just a regular hair wash and the price was around 198RMB/ $27
@@siphacingogirrrrrrl I live in Suzhou. Please tell me where! I’m trying to find it.
Do you have an affordable Chinese spa you'd recommend here in Shanghaï please? Thanks in advance

did she ever finish blow drying the top of the hair after the video was over lol? just curious
Lol no, I took over. She was a bit too gentle and I like to go in with the blow drying

Sanitation is important.. Uon want anything from under their nails or anything in one’s scalp to get under the nail bed…you should always wear gloves
I liked the fact she is wearing gloves. I will request gloves.

I love to wash my own hair with disposable gloves. I get less snagging from my nails, and products go on smoother with gloves.
She's back w a fav🦦!
Please dont make the styling parts shorter (from 39:44) 🫣 enjoy those parts...
I usually think people won’t enjoy them but, got it 👌🏾 will do so next time 💕
