Great Men or NPCs? Ridley Scott’s NAPOLEON & David Fincher’s THE KILLER

- Neither film is good, but they have an interesting relationship with each other. In "Napoleon" by Ridley Scott, Joaquin Phoenix slips into the role of the great statesman who wanted to help France achieve new greatness. In "The Killer" by David Fincher, Michael Fassbender plays a contract killer who earns a lot of money by quietly going about his job, covering his tracks and not getting too emotionally involved. Both films negate the phantasm of the great man. They are works of deconstruction that are certainly no fun, but could possibly be salutary and enlightening, because the idea of the great man seems to be far from history. NPCs have much more function in video games. Basically every function side characters or even main characters in movies have. They provide valueable information, teach mechanics, move the narrative forward and many more. There are plenty NPCs who only have one line to say and one place to stand but the term itself doesn't give much information about it's depths.
Could you give some information about the books on your shelves, the top two rows specifically? I like the look of the covers.
The entire second row and the last bit on the right of the first row, are a complete collection of the works from Marx and Engels in the German language. This collection specifically is published by Dietz Berlin. The black books in the first row are a 22 long collection of a literature lexicon published by Kindler, also a German publisher. I'm not sure about the white books, however they seem to be small collection of books from the publisher Diogenes, with their dust covers removed. I hope that was helpful! :D

I haven't watched the whole video but here are some points where you could improve your english. I have watched it in german though :)
0:41 Discourse not Diskurs
0:58 I don't think that "to govern" is a word that is used in this sense
2:00 aspects is spoken with an "ä" in english
2:05 "Walk over dead bodies" is not a common english phrase in my opinion
2:15 cushioned is not a good word here imo. I would instead say something like "There is a longing to be great man which is somewhat conceiled by the postmodern style of Fincher's film."
Maybe other viewers can add to the list. Also: It is better style to keep the sentences short in english. It makes following your points easier as well.
Keep practicing though and maybe listen to english podcasts, talk to people and it will become easier.

@@DanijeI Right! However your second sentence seems to be incomplete. You also need to add periods at the end of each sentence. Nobody said English is easy, no? :)
