I had my HTO surgeries in late January 2023, and late March 2023. The opening wedge in my Tibia was 18mm(almost 3/4"). A bone graft from my pelvis was placed into the openings. I grew all of that bone in 4 weeks, on the first leg, and walked for the first time on day 1 of week 4. I started walking in small amounts around the house, at the start of week 5, and in the middle of that week, I put the crutches away for good. At the start of week 6, I returned to training on my mountain bike. At the start of week 8, I ran briefly in the parking lot of the hospital, before going inside and checking in for my 2nd surgery. I healed the second leg about a week faster at each stage of progress, compared to the first leg, and 4 weeks post-op on the second leg (3 months post-op on the first leg) I ran on a track for the first time. On July 1, 2023, I started trail running again, and by July, I was back to running 13.6 miles/22km on local trails with almost 3,000'/900m of climbing and descending. In mid-Aug. on my 60th birthday, I ran my 11th Rim2Rim at the Grand Canyon, as a marathon distance. I ended 2023 by racing 2 trail half marathons, running another Rim2Rim, but as a speed run, and I had my plates and screws removed in early December. I returned to running training 3 weeks later, on January 1, 2024, and to celebrate a year post-op, I returned to downhill skiing. I skied 8 times in 2 months, and then returned to trail running and mountain bike training in preparation for another speed run at the Grand Canyon, which I did at the end of May, 2024: ua-cam.com/video/vhz72W_aZKg/v-deo.html I created a video playlist on my channel, showing my different stages of recovery in 2023, and 2024, and detailing how I ate in order to promote bone growth, and how I did my own physio in order to created a very strong bone repair.
If there is muscle problem for bow legs , is surgery required or exercise will do. And any possible chances for surgery to go wrong ?

And when in this Feb, when u went to doctor and when mri is done , it comes that it is Grade 3 tear in medial meniscus and doctor has said that it is due to genu varum. Sir the doctor has said there is no benefit of arthroscopy since meniscus tear is due to bow legs. To pehle bow legs ka surgery hoga aur fir uske baad meniscus tear ka . Sir I was very active physically, used to run around 5-6 km everyday. And now I am very depressed due to this injury. Sir please advise me.
