In Malaysia, if you see brown sugary looking sauce its normally palm sugar..we rarely use cane sugar because there's plenty of palm sugar obtained from the juice of the nipah or nibong plam tree. These juices are then cooked till they caramelize and left to harden before being packed. Great dad! Take the chicken and put it on the balls and eat..very very efficient 🤣🤣! I'd like to have those when i go to Malacca. Hat off!! Mom and dad. You make going to Malacca super fun..your enthusiasm is really off the charts and infectious i must say.

In liquid form it is palm sugar. Gula melaka. Unprocessed brown cane sugar is for packet to use for drinks.
