I had a few crucible’s with silver in them that needed to be recovered.
I made mincemeat out of that mouse.. with my chain mill then panned out and melted into a button.
Recovered the AG.. Yahoo Baby!

Nice recovery Matt. Have always been curious as to what lingers in the crucibles (both broken and unbroken), and now have a better idea.... so thanks for that bit of educational information.
These crucibles started to crack, so I stopped torching to save the pieces 😆 That's what my mom used to say (save the pieces)

It was definitely fun to recover some silver from these crucibles. These were the loaded ones. I still have a several with bits and pieces but not as good as those ones were.

@@ProspectorTripp well back in those days we never had chem trails or foreign chemicals that did not come from Mother Nature. Colder winters and more snow. And it never really got this hot around here . 😆
