There should be no need for genital checks. There should be chromosomes testing and strength testing. Fair matches. Light, Middle, and heavyweight. Play against people with the same biological differences, there are many out there. Thats not bullying, its common sense.

If you do sports, whether that involves body building in a gym, or football or rugby, or similar sports, it is quite normal that you will be naked in front of other people - be that in the changing room, showers or wherever else. You get quite used to it and there is no shame in it. It is a poor excuse to say that it is humiliating.

This is really ignorant. The Y chromosome only have a small part that instruct the body to produce the male hormones, and the body can fail to produce them. Even if the body did produce the male hormones, not all of them are produced, not all of them are in sufficient quantities. Let's say if the body all of the male hormones in the required levels, not all parts of the body will respond. The hormones have to arrive at the receptors at different organs and places and not all of the receptors are working properly or responding correctly and at all the places. Some male may develop muscles, facial hair, but small genitalias, and some developed male genitalia, but weak muscles and bone density. There are a lot of factors affecing sexual deveopment. Don't pretend to know when you never really read up about it.

Genital checks have never been the procedure. The IOC did cheek-swab chromosome tests until 2000. They're quick, unintrusive and they confirm biological sex.

The Y chromosome only have a small part that instruct the body to produce the male hormones, and the body can fail to produce them. Even if the body did produce the male hormones, not all of them are produced, not all of them are in sufficient quantities.
Let's say if the body all of the male hormones in the required levels, not all parts of the body will respond. The hormones have to arrive at the receptors at different organs and places and not all of the receptors are working properly or responding correctly and at all the places. Some male may develop muscles, facial hair, but small genitalias, and some developed male genitalia, but weak muscles and bone density.

The Olympic Committee IOC is creating a dangerous precedent, I fear where and to which level this can go before they realise what a grave mistake they have done
Seeing how other boxing organizations have disqualified these people from competing, it's the IOC who's bucking the trend and ignoring the precedent....most likely for the sake of the "ideology" of it all. There is enough outrage about this that I suspect they will continue to be the outliers and not the trend setters.
Well, with their opening ceremony they basically admitted that they will allow men in female sports. They should have the balls to come out and admit it straight to everyone face.

When the IOC allowed them to compete without testing they opened themselves up to a massive lawsuit. I hope it doesn't get there because that would mean a woman will have been severely injured or worse

Khelif was born with male chromosomes. This gives her an advantage over other women. It begs the question what is a woman. A woman is someone with xx chromosomes

Genital checks have never been the procedure. The IOC did cheek-swab chromosome tests until 2000. They're quick, unintrusive and they confirm biological sex.
Yes they were originally done before the science allowed for SRY chromosome test to be done.

I know if a female competed in a male category it would not be an advantage. However if everyone was tested it would protect the XX athletes and would not target individuals if everyone regardless of male female is tested.

In the past, babies born with DSD were brought up as whatever gender the parents and/or medical team thought best until puberty revealed the truth. DNA tests removed that need and even though this man was brought up as a girl, puberty, like the DNA test, has shown him to be unequivocally male. Genital checks aren't degrading - genital mutilation, still carried out on girls - is.

There's an older pic of Khelif training and wearing a man's box guard while the woman he's training with is wearing a woman's chest guard. If he's not a dude then why is he wearing covering protection for boy parts?? Also why do these individuals NEVER compete in anything where testosterone doesn't give them an edge? Its always running, swimming, weightlifting and combat sports? Never see this issue in synchronized swimming or women's gymnastics or equestrian sports....

Not completely correct as well! There are proof letters sent to the Olympic committee about the tests from last year and before... as long as they clarify those. .you will still be left with a doubt and I agree with you that is unfair for everyone involved. This is my personal opinion but I do belive there should be a dna test as well as testosterone level tests. To make really fair for everyone competing ..and we do not have to make public the result !! But in Paris there don't do genetic tests ... I found only them responsible for the whole sad situations around it !!
