In this case, IC 2050 has less performance and distortion and offers higher power. This circuit, with its output of two output amplifier transistors, will definitely drive and drive a larger driver.
At 12V both ICs will have high distortion figures due to clipping. By increasing the supply voltage, say around 20V, the audio quality will be better with less distortion.

Just curious, if we can build a working amplifier with just 13 components, what's the point for those fancy amplifier products that has a huge complex circuit board? I want a working amplifier with decent sound quality, but don't have much money for it.
The costlier ones have active and passive crossover circuits in them. In some you can adjust the frequency response in every frequency range like an equaliser while others do it to match the speakers specifications to get the most of them.
