    I hear you on the nicks and scratches. I see every little detail in mine also. Today I put a 50 inch flatscreen TV in the back and scratched a few spots.

      ooo hope it's a sedan haha that would be an impossible feat for my coupe, unless I put the back seats down but as you already know how bad I am about nicks lol Are you currently DD'ing (daily driving) your car? or is it a project?

    Great job man! hey here's just a friendly recommendation. Use this stuff called VLR conditioner. It's made by Mothers, the same company who makes car wax and those clay bars. It's stands for vinyl, leather, rubber. Use it anywhere on your CB7 where those 3 materials are used, except don't use it on any of the plastic trim pieces. I think there's some kind of dye or something in it that will ruin them. For the plastic pieces, use another product from Mothers that's called back to black: outside and inside plastic trim piece restorer. Them two products are top of the line. But I'm biased because i won't use any other products really except Mothers. Only other brand I'll use is pretty much any 3M product. And also if you decide to tint the windows on your CB7 don't use any kind of spray cleaners that contain ammonia it'll turn the film purple.

      Ayy! Great tips dude! I'll definitely take a look into more Mother's products for my vehicles especially VLR, thanks man 😄

    Hey could I ask where you got that shift boot and the knob? It looks so dope. Looking to install something like that in my 02 accord. Would match perfectly, awesome video btw man!

    • @PaycoTsunami
      @PaycoTsunami  5 років тому +1

      Yo definitely and thanks! They're straight OEM, so the knob itself I got it from "hondapartsnowDOTcom". They sell OEM parts for all our cars, but if you want something specific like this one, its for the 1990 - 1993 Honda Accord. (Part # 54102-SM4-003ZA ITS STILL IN STOCK, I just checked) The boot I got from Amazon, its also an OEM part they sold there for awhile (Part #83414-SM4-003ZA Not in stock at hondapartsnow :/ ). I would look up on Honda forums to see if the knob is the right thread pitch for your vehicle. Hope this helps my dude, it feels great to have something fresh and especially since I daily this beaut now. I'm going to toss in a prelude shift assembly alittle later since I'm tired of blowing out my passenger knee caps whenever I toss it into fifth haha its going to shorten the throw a tad

    Trying to figure out replacing the windshield seals and the door seals for my 93 coupe... any suggestions or am i stuck sourcing less shitty used ones? I want restore mine but if i cant do 10/10 ill probably sell it. Windshield needs replacing but if the trims cant be reused it seems pointless to keep building

    • @PaycoTsunami
      @PaycoTsunami  4 роки тому

      Yo! Sorry to hear that dude, I've honestly looked for the same parts since my corner pieces are falling apart. I personally am stuck sourcing from the local junkyards but honestly I feel like they come with the new windshield when you get them proff done at a shop. I would call around locally to see what they can do before scrapping the project! Also follow some fb groups on the CB7, you'd be surprised what people are willing to hoard and sell for the right price for these cars.

      @PaycoTsunami  5 років тому +1

      That's what I love about these 90's cars, everything is super easy to work on haha I still got my fogs planned after I finish up the engine, I'm stoked af tbh

  • @morthren
    @morthren 5 років тому

    Thanks for this. You make separating the shift knob from the boot easy. I've tried to squeeze the tabs, pulled it but just cannot get them apart! Is there a trick to it without damaging it?

    • @PaycoTsunami
      @PaycoTsunami  5 років тому

      Sadly from my experience, pulling it down is the only way to do it. I usually rock it back and forth from tab to tab while pulling down on the plastic (not the leather) to remove it. I hope you get it removed. Appreciate the comment morthren and I hope you get it off smoothly! 😄

      @@PaycoTsunami Thanks, I'll give it another go. I was only going to replace the boot which has a tear in it, but might get a new shift knob too seeing how good yours looks with a new one!
