Really good job bro super dope and I really like how you used green masking tape because it was an Xbox. Very satisfying to watch keep up the good work bro!
This is a awesome build bro! Rainbow 6 Siege is probably one of my all time favorite games, so it's really cool to see a custom Xbox get themed off my favorite game! Keep up the great work!
Nice job on both the Xbox one s and video. I just ordered custom rgh Xbox 360 and I wanted a pink paint job. The guy couldn’t paint for crap and I had him just put original plastic pieces back on. Luckily he agreed and did so. I have a one s also and will just mod myself. I appreciate how you took all the correct steps into painting. I would 100% say you inspired me. Thanks
Its the little things that no one else shows that are most helpful. Ill be using that paint touch up trick forsure! keep it up :) (You should do a Hackintosh)
I don't get free stuff ever so I just do what I can. Hackintosh probably won't happen anytime soon since I don't plan on building one for myself :P Good to know that paint thing was useful to someone
It would be cool if they made sort off computer cases for console u could do it by urself but u have to get all the mesurements right for the USB and overstuff
I did something similar and also added an ssd to replace the slow hard drive I also made the window a lot bigger than the one in the video but this video helped me a lot thanks and keep up the great work
Removing the sticker do not void the warranty. Those are anti tamper stickers. Under federal law no manufacturer can void a warranty unless they can prove you did something to damage the product.
I did subscribe my man. That was an amazing job you did there. I am a big Battlefield four player, and I would love to have a custom Battlefield 4 Xbox console. Beautiful job.
Your wrong, that metal sheet is to help cool your xbox as metal takes much longer to get warm and keeps cool with the fan blowing on it, taking it out can cause noticeable FPS drops from time to time
Don't remove the warranty sticker and blow it with a hair dryer for about 40 seconds right before you remove the bottom part, you want it quite warm so the glue melts on the back of the sticker, that way the sticker doesn't stick to the white tab as it would if you torn it off and the case can be removed without ruining the sticker, that's if you're not customising it, I hate hard drives so I've put an ssd in my one S, it's still under warranty so if anything goes wrong I can switch out the ssd and it looks like it's never been opened, great tip for anyone with a warranty.
Dietec when you say you don't need the metal chassis you're wrong that is for RF blocking and the acrylic that PC cases use has an RF blocking coating on it
+DIY TECH for a cleaner finish on the led strip, you can rather make a small circular hole on the back of the case, if you don't want to drill holes into the case you can also use black shrink wrap on the red/black cables. P.S. you used paper! lol
I saw a somewhat similar video by LinusTechTips, where they watercooled a PS4 (Though this Xbox looked a lot cooler than their final product!), but one thing that you could do is replace that internal hard drive with an SSD. Not only will it speed up your Xbox a bit, there's also some aesthetic value to it since the drive is very visible. However space might be an issue, especially if you have the 1TB version of the Xbox.
I know its a little advanced for some but I'd source an internal power point for those LED's, the wires running out the back and an extra plug just don't work for me. The acrylic work and vinyl cutter are cool things most people don't do themselves, either way it turned out cool.
Amazing job and very thorough work :) but sadly I have a PS4 not an Xbox. Any chance you'll make a video for PS? P.S. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LINKS lol
Could you do something similar to this for the original xbox One? Looks fantastic - I think the red LED's look amazing too, though if you could get orange that would of finished it off perfectly!
Thanks for actually replying :) and this design does have some pros as well as cons. The main pro i can think of is LEDS on while console is off for decorative purposes which would honestly be quite cool! and i was wondering if you could do a video on a custom vent grille. Iv got an LED fan and the grille on the origonal xbox one is facing the other way so the lights are not visible
+Gregg Acuff Yeah I'd love to do more console mods but I just haven't had a chance to work on any since this one, if I get to I'll definitely be sharing. If I get my hands on an original Xbox I'll do a led fan mod maybe
Robert Conley I know this is probably a joke, but if it isn't, it wouldn't serve a console any good to have better specs. Games are locked at certain graphics settings.
You can’t add a graphics card to a console because they run on a “System on a chip” or SOC. The consoles motherboard doesn’t have any expansion slots at all because the APU is responsible for graphics processing and calculations. The RAM on a console is inside the APU.
Looks good, man. Quick question, do you let the paint cure before you pull the vinyl off, when it's still wet, or somewhere in between? I'm currently modding a PS4 controller, and I'm struggling with this part.
Jimmi Face I have done both successfully. On this case I pulled the vinyl off after about an hour but I usually leave my painted stuff overnight before I pull any masking off
"This will void the warranty"
That's okay. Microsoft wouldn't honor it anyways.
I know it's a year old post but those warrenty stickers are illegal 🚫 look it up federal trade commission says so
I'd just sell it for more money than I bought it for saying "Modified Xbox One S" for only like $10 more and buy a new one
