Cyclone Dana LIVE: Landfall Process Begins in Odisha as Preparations Ramp Up

Cyclone Dana's landfall process has begun, with the forward sector of the wall cloud region moving onto land. This process is expected to continue until the morning of October 25. As of now, the system is located near latitude 20.5° N and longitude 87.1° E, approximately 50 km east-northeast of Paradip, 40 km south-southeast of Dhamara, and 160 km southwest of Sagar Island. It is projected to move north-northwest and make landfall near Bhitarkanika and Dhamara in the next 3 to 4 hours as a severe cyclonic storm, with wind speeds of 100-110 kmph and gusts up to 120 kmph.
