If I were to only have 1 bike and build this would be it! Currently have the Spur GX and a longer travel rig. The Spur is such a special bike. Nice build, ride on!
Nice bike, great build. I'm riding an Ibis Exie. It comes in at 24.7 pounds, with pedals (also Time), bottle cage, and tire change (Rekon 2.4 out back, Dissector 2.4 out front). So surprised what these new gen short travel bikes are capable of.
I just got my spur and I like the rear shock - but the front fork (fox 34 stepcast) feels harsh. Is there anything that can be done to it to make it feel plusher? This is my first short travel bike so maybe I need to just get used to it?
Hmmm. Getting the tuning right will obviously help, but if it's your first short travel bike, it's in large part that you're just not used to it. The less travel you have, the more critical it is to get the tuning right. We just posted a video to help simplify the suspension tuning process. Could be worth a look.
I got the Spur with the Rockshox SID stuff, same problem the rear shock is fine but the fork feels harsh. It seems like it has been breaking in and getting better though the last few rides finally.
Do you think a size large SPUR would fit the new Fox Float X without hitting the frame on bottom out? Are you running something internal on the shock to prevent full bottom out?
That's a tough one. Eyeballing it that seems doubtful - however, Fox is doing size specific piggy backs for the new Float X. Best bet would be to check with Fox and/or Transition.
Hey Derek - the reservoir itself measures 62mm. Keep in mind that's not including the part of the shock body that it threads into, or the cap on the end.
That is certainly an odd choice of parts. If I wanted to put a Pike and a Superdeluxe Ultimate on a short travel bike, I'd have gone with a different frame - one thats better suited for hard riding. Something like a Norco Optic or Santa Cruz Tallboy and not an XC frame with a flex pivot.
Hey Kyle - in simple terms, it's a little more plush and offers a bit more control and traction on long descents. It's obviously heavier, but it rides great!
Hey Johannes - for the moment, we'll try to focus on doing some original content for this page. We just posted one up with a fairly nifty trick for getting rid of brake pad rattle and rub.

I love what u did with the suspension! I can only imagine how well this bike handles. Kudos to ya brother! Rad bike n setup.
That’s rad! I hope my stolen Spur turns up some day. I would live to mimic that build

What size is your frame? Do you think XL size have enough clearance for a standard super deluxe piggyback?
Hmmm...That's a tough one. It's doubtful that you'd get enough clearance from going up a size. It's a little tight in there! This bike is a Large.
Sweet build! How close does the piggyback come to the frame at full compression?
Hey Matt - there's a few millimeters to spare. It's definitely safe, even with some frame flex accounted for.
@@mtb-mag Cool, thanks guys!
@@mtb-mag Why does Transition say no piggyback? I want one but worried about the possibilities

How short of a can did you need on the piggyback for clearance? Wondering if the can on the new DPX2 is short enough.

How does the super deluxe compare to the stock SID?

@@mtb-mag how do these shocks compare on the climbs? Is one firmer more poppy and the other one more active and plush?
Sweet you got a English speaking channel now. Any plans on English version of some of the tech videos from the other channel?

_overall from stock how much is the package of that spur? i really like transitions catalogue._
Better than the SID set up? I’m torn between this or the stock build suspension. Any feedback appreciated!
All in all, it's just a different approach. A little heavier than the SID bits, but you can push it a little harder....
@@mtb-mag thanks mate!
Weight of this baby?
11.3 kg without pedals
That is crazy. My full carbon xc 100 mill weighs about the same
Big cassette ruined the build for me.
X dome 11x36 w a short cage mech would be much much lighter.
11-36 would be a weird choice for a non-gravity-only bike with a 1x setup.
Are you trolling, or do you have legs made of steel?
Just a heads up... your logo makes your channel look like a joke. May want to change that.
