70 years old! Lang is more fit, flexible, and has more core stability than most people half his age. Incredible. Even more incredible that he was that jacked for Avatar in 2009 when he was in his late 50s.
This guy is an underrated legend. Both an absolute unit and down to earth. He plays such an intimidating character, but he's so humble and kind. Can't wait to see how Quaritch changes in the sequels ... I believe he will ultimately use his new powers for good and end up redeeming himself. 💙
Stephen Lang seems like a cool grandpa you can always go to for life advice but at the same time won't serve you any bull. We need more men like him as an example in this crazy industry
Anyone else get the vibe that Mr. Lang comes accross as your everyday man? You can just about imagine having him and his family over for dinner and not have to worry about impressing them or not, lol. This guy is so wonderfully grounded and comes accross as totaly affable, while very sure and focused in his day to day life. Awesome!
This is a great example of coming to terms with growing old and still being in shape. He was really buff back in the day and a lot of men wouldn't accept their natural decline. This guy didnt give up he just changed his regime. We can all hope to be in this kind of shape by the time were in our 70s
Jesus loves you all! Remember that He died and rose up again for you to be in heaven with Him! Believe on His name and repent of your sins and be saved! Have an amazing day ❤️😊
A true actor... the fact that many characters he's played are ranging from menacing to, tough... he seems like theee must humble and nice guy. He's one of my favs!
It's fantastic, in front of the camera & behind the camera!! Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Jessica Delaney, Powers Boothe, of course Stephen Lang & more! I've watched it at least 40 times, an amazing piece of film!!
Protect this man at all costs. Loved his character in Avatar. Kernel Quaritch was my favorite character from Avatar. I hope his character ends up redeeming himself in the third or fifth movie. He & Sully will end up brothers in arms, I know it.
Finally The Gym And Fridge Segment. Stephen Lang Looking Great At 70. He Seem Like A Nice Guy And Great Personality Taking Care For His Health. Much Respect For Him. This Is One Of The Best Gym And Fridge Segment.
See fitness is a mentality that many people lose with age, fatigue, or lack of interest/motivation. Too see this 70 year old badass this toned and athletic just warms my heart up like a morning sun.
Stephen Lang is in just great shape, especially considering his age. If there was a Deathstroke movie in the late 2000's he would be perfect as Slade Wilson.
I gotta say, im 19 years old and I absolutely look up to this man. He’s such a gentleman and a phenomenal actor. The physicality he brings to his roles along with his characters attitude demands respect in an intimidating way and he’s such a presence even when he’s not on screen and it’s awesome! Love the Don’t Breathe films and the Avatar films as well and he’s such a beast in those roles.
Mr. Lang was my little league coach when I was young. Really great guy and was passionate about coaching us. It's amazing to see his continued dedication to fitness at 70 years old. Keep it up Steph!!!
I really love and admire this guy for many years now. His work ethic and also his lifestyle. I just hope to be in this shape and state of mind in my 60-70's. Thank you for the video !
I was so happy for him when it was announced that he would be returning to work on Avatar, and it's inspiring that he was able to maintain excellent physical condition after 13 years. I hope his Quaritch persona survives to the end of the series and that he continues to lead a successful career. Such an amazing human being.
One of my fave low key actors. Always nails every role he does and as you can see. Who also has a tremendous catalogue of work too. Last and by no means least, what a gentleman also ...
That just shows how good of an actor this guy is. He can make you believe hes that polar opposite compared to how he really is. His bad guy and ani-hero roles are amazing.
This man will live to be 120, AT LEAST. He'll also be MENTALLY FIT, as physical fitness is the NUMBER ONE way to stave offf forgetfulness or "senior moments" (the colloquial terms we use for old people just losing the cognitive alibies) , and as far as we know- it's the NUMBER ONE way to fight off Dementia and Alzheimer's.... lifelong physical fitness matches with balanced diet.
This guy just keeps getting better and better, what a positive human he is and let's face it,70 and as fit as a fiddle, workout smarter not harder is his words
Yeah, that's what my fridge looks like at any random time. It's like all those nicely-lined-up sauces and bottles and carefully stacked fruits and veggies all just said "Well hello! I didn't see you standing there!"
Everyone keeps saying pretty good "for 70" when actually hes in good shape for any age! If the general population was at this level of fitness at 20 it would be amazing!
Flexibility is the most important component of physical fitness and the most overlooked. Most back injuries are caused by being too tight not because of weakness. People mainly work out because of cosmetic reasons not for their health that’s why they don’t spend time stretching.
Stephen seems like such a sweet guy. It's a real testament to his skills as an actor for him to transform into intense characters like Colonel Quaritch and the Blind Guy.
70 years old, he doesn't look it and he doesn't move like it, it's amazing how the QoL is now as we age vs what it was, 100 years ago or so - we are living longer, aging I dare say better, and I don't think we've really even scratched the surface of what is possible.
To be honest, not many clips on YT can keep me watching to the end. This one did. Seems like a really pleasant guy who, I hope, has his best years as an actor still in front of him.
As a self perceived strong stable man, there is nothing more that I respect than someone who tells me what is happening and not giving me a choice. SL’s comment on his yoga trainer telling him what’s what hit me hard. Respect.
70 years old! Lang is more fit, flexible, and has more core stability than most people half his age. Incredible. Even more incredible that he was that jacked for Avatar in 2009 when he was in his late 50s.
He was huge in the first one !! I understand he’s older and he chose not to lift heavy anymore which is why he doesn’t look the same
He hasnt changed a bit in 13 years massive respect to him
Right he was 59 when Avatar came out but dude looked early 40s
He was jacked in Avatar. You can tell its been over 10yrs since he did the movie
Age is no excuse, he's slacking....the Na'vi brainwashed him....
This guy is an underrated legend. Both an absolute unit and down to earth. He plays such an intimidating character, but he's so humble and kind. Can't wait to see how Quaritch changes in the sequels ... I believe he will ultimately use his new powers for good and end up redeeming himself. 💙
Stephen Lang is an extraordinary & amazing man! After seeing AVATAR he is now my favorite actor!
@@milesfears Amen. He’s my favorite.
He looks good for his age but it’s evident his upper body is not as big as what it used to be especially in the first avatar
Avatar was a different role for Stephen. Usually, he plays the old man who lives alone/gets robbed.
He’s beyond redemption tbh
Stephen Lang seems like a cool grandpa you can always go to for life advice but at the same time won't serve you any bull. We need more men like him as an example in this crazy industry
He'll be like "Why so Blue"
Well said.
Absolutely 💯
He plays great bad guys, but seems like a nice guy.
Well done Stephen.
Yes, this means he is an excellent actor. Have you seen "Last exit to Brooklyn"?
@@antonboludo8886 I'm gonna check it out. Been looking for different actors to watch and he is pretty good
Not in avatar, he was the good guys
Watch Terra Nova, he Is The good guy
@@Basedlocation A racist, genocidal maniac is the good guy?
I think we all hope to be as fit and healthy as him at the age of 70.
Wish i was that fit at 20
Stop hoping and start working out.
@@Shaki123I already work out and I’m still hoping.
@@Shaki123 it's not just about working out though, sadly you could get health issues just from aging or injuries that prevent that from happening
If we even reach this age. No guarantees.
In his blind man role he was in tremendous shape not only for an old guy but for ANY age. He’s a great role model.
Yes, he is!
He was bulky in avatar 1
This is by far one of the best episodes of the Gym and fridge. We need to highlight more men who are 60+ years old on this show
For the type of characters he usually portrays, he seems like quite a chill dude. :D
He seems even more intimidating as a calm guy
Please don't let this series die, Men's Health!
Respect for Stephen for sticking to a healthy lifestyle for so many years. Looking great, lots of health man. Cheers.
Dude's a beast! I mean, the discipline. And he can act circles, around many of today's "superstars"! Thanks for this video, Men's Health!
Glad you enjoyed!

i felt the same way
Almost like movie stars are normal people like you and me except the fact they star in, you know, movies.
Quartich is an absolute badass and he really conveys the character so well. It reminds me of small soldiers commando elite.
If it ever comes to a remake ge should play Chip Hazard
Major Chip Hazard
Stephan was 56 when the first Avatar was filmed! He looked incredible at that age and still looks great at 70👏🏾🔥
As a 35 year old gym trainer, seeing Stephen looking that good at 70 really is an inspiration.
This is a great example of coming to terms with growing old and still being in shape. He was really buff back in the day and a lot of men wouldn't accept their natural decline. This guy didnt give up he just changed his regime. We can all hope to be in this kind of shape by the time were in our 70s

He literally has a different light in his face and eyes, it's like Quattritch isn't home at the moment 😂 He seems like such a sweet, gentle person
I think we saw a lot more of that in Way of Water, it's why Spider would choose to rescue him.
Great actor so humble and kind. Can't wait for the sequel
He is so chill as opposed to his characters, its bewildering!
I agree. I was so suprised lmao

Total G. His performance as Miles Quaritch in Avatar 2 was incredible.

Stephen is highly underrated as a actor. I have never seen him in a bad role yet.
