The AI is phenomenal. I'm blown away. The fact that he first goes to the hole you were at to look instead of just locking onto wherever you go is super impressive.

Reminds me 2 things : The actual gameplay in the kitchen reminds me MEDIEVIL 2, Wulfrum Hall mission, when Dan must put his skull on a living hand to get access to some restricted areas (especially a kitchen ^^). Those who played will remember :)
2nd thing : the global idea also reminds me a video clip from SOILWORK - Light The Torch !! Same as MEDIEVIL, a little character tries to escape from a psycho scientist :)

A small, large-headed child navigating puzzles in a macabre world filled with heavy shadows, ambient sounds and little story hand-holding? This feels familiar.
All kidding aside this does seem pretty interesting and worth a look when it comes out.

I hope they do the chefs more in detail. They could've made a great FPS horror game with them though. I'm sure this will be really good.

The chef is a borrowed concept from the game The Evil Within.. Same hunchback, surrounded by meat, and holds the knife up in the air before slicing.
The Final Boss is Yarny from Unraveled after he consumes all the yarn in the world. The little butcher dude is just Yarnys puppet in his ultimate sceem of world domination

Media Molecule made LBP but Tarsier studios (creator of this) contributed to it and the sequels.
Tarsier Studios is an independent dev studio of ~40 employees and they are still independent regardless of who they get as a publisher.
As for the game itself, it is still an indie game if Bandai didn't fund the creation of the game, and is only involved with the publishing of it (as it seems). Indie games can remain as such if they get published by some bigger names.
Namco can create Indie games, any company, big or little can create a indie game.
Jonathan Gómez García Namco is the publisher, not the creator.
Look up the definition of indie game - it's not this simple and the definition is not set in stone but basically big companies like that can only publish, not create indie games. Indie games are generally created by indie studios and not created with financial support of publisher (so no-one on the outside of the creation has no say in the development of the game).
In my opinion, Indie defines the content, no the quality.

Levi vB Pray tell what other first person game takes the first person perspective of a small miniature man evading monstrosities? They always have you as a normal sized man, not a doll-like creature.
I'd argue that there'd be a greater sense of immersion if we were allowed to play from the first person perspective. Seeing the size of the kitchen and the lumbering steps of a deformed chef would be much scarier in comparison.
Third person is intense in this case, but first person would be scarier and more vivid.

definitely the ones that made LBP vita. I saw a lot of that game in this demo. LBP vita was really creepy and veered so far off of the normal LBP game most people never realized it.

You could originally whistle to get them to a certain area WHAT why did they take that out I swear to god they’ve took to much stuff that had amazing potential from this game like the wax bellman, the third chef and the whistling like DUDE.
