The plate Maddock & Co from Burslem England is 1906. Before and after the trademark will have “and sons” I’m thinking someone about that era either homesteaded there or purhaps had a picnic and accidentally broke their plate. We probably will never know.

I think just about everything is buried there. Later i found a big knot of human hair. Very weird.
