Hi Bowley, another great video. Just wondering what transducer setup you have on the Lowrance. I have the Active Image 3-1 on my Lowrance. Looking at getting an 1Kw Airmar. Once I am fishing anything over 40 metres I find the Active Image transducer useless for picking up fish.
Hey bud, in this video I was solely using the 3-1 HD since I was fishing under 40 metres but I not long ago added a P66 transducer as my sole sonar transducer so I can pick up the bottom and fish much easier in the deeper waters, and for only $200 it didn’t break the bank compared to what a 1kw would. If I had a bigger glass boat and I fished 50-60+ more often definitely the through hull 1kw transducers are the go.
I don’t understand your fascination with Coral Trout! Those red marks on the sides of the fish are worms! Coral Trout are one of the worst seafoods for worms, Qld Saucer Scallops are another depending on where they are caught! Wouldn’t give you tuppence for a trout. There are much nicer fish on the reef, like the finger mark on the reef or Mangrove Jacks in the estuaries.

Thanks bud. I think the gimbal is an old Daiwa one I’m not sure if they still make them. It was an old one of Matty’s I borrowed and never gave back 😂
