Railfanning Union Pacific Trains In Palmdale, CA Ft. UP 1982, 6378.

Here’s quite a few Union Pacific trains shot throughout December and part of January. Featured is UP 1982 leading, UP 6378 as a face out DPU, as well as a couple of foreign units.
Uncharacteristically, this video only has a couple AC44 leaders, these are usually the most common leaders on the Mojave. Instead this video is dominated by leaders from the EMD SD70 series as well as the fair share of gevo units. The two stack trains were shot on the Metrolink Valley subdivision and everything else the Union Pacific Mojave Subdivision. During the production of this video, UP appears to have once again dropped the MWCFR in favor of an MWCST. If the past tells anything, I’d expect the Fresno to be back within a month.
