GOALS for my XT, i already have Toyo open country's on mine and i was literally just looking at the ADF 2" lift, thoughts on that lift? also should i go 3/8 or 1/2 in the rear? anyways awesome vid!!
Damn I've been on that exact road before and it can be rough at some points haha! Just purchased an 05 XS forester, think that road would be a little difficult at stock height? Definitely looking at a 2 inch lift and bigger tires in the future, however probably won't do that soon. Planning on daily driving the forester and using it for more moderate stuff until the current car I use for sketchy stuff quits (it's nearing the end of its lifespan lol).
I heard they cleaned the road up a bit. But I haven't been back there since the snows melted. I think it would be a challenge in a stock height Forester. But if you choose your lines right, it may be doable! Grab an ADF 2 inch lift, 215/75's and call it a day!
@@clappedoutsubieshoopties2216 Haha yeah sounds like a plan. When I went up there last year in August most of the major ruts had been filled in for the last 1/3rd, but the first 2/3rds were the same. Still has snow currently.
@@pnw8836 in my experience, the mpg loss isn't too bad unless you drive like a maniac. I haven't driven this specific car personally, but Mike has never mentioned his mpg taking a huge hit. And the same is true for my builds. They've never dropped really hard on me unless I'm driving almost nothing but trails. I've experienced maybe 2-3mpg drop with all things being equal after accounting for everything (speedometer/odo being off etc).
@@clappedoutsubieshoopties2216 Ok thanks, yeah I’d be like 80-90% daily driving it so was hoping for not that much of a loss. Seen other people who mostly daily drive say they only experienced a 1-2 drop at the most
This is an old video but you should get some 06 STI Lower control arms to fix the front spacing issues
He may get around to it but for now it does everything he needs it to do.

Bro I can't recommend them enough! Holler at Patrick in the FB groups.
I'm running the ADF kit on mine. I have the 1/2 and love it!

@@clappedoutsubieshoopties2216 Also random question, is there a noticeable MPG decrease with the lift and slightly bigger tires or not really?
