Great video I just up graded my headlights. Tip for alignment I parked 15 feet from garage wall and turned headlights on and marked area with masking tape so as new install would shine exactly where old one did since I was pleased with the original aim.
I saw another video earlier and he had his own garage, camera man and everything. Seemed like a pretty professional set-up, but I must say your video is way better and super more helpful than his. Thank you Sir!
Awesome video! One thing I like to do when replacing headlights is to do one at a time like you did, then aim the new headlight to match the OEM beam, then match the other new light with the one you already aimed! Saves a little time.
my brother that was the best video ever. thank you for taking the time to show everyone what you were doing. Great narrative and great instructional video. Wish all of them were like you!
Good video I replaced mine with same the same ones. Two things…. No need to loosen grill. Also bottom headlight screw just loosen no need to take all the way out
I ordered new headlights for my 2010 Sierra 1500. Thanks for this video, I feel a little more confident about changing them out myself now. Hopefully I won't have any issues.
Hats off to you sir. Thank you very much for this video. The confidence I gained by watching you do it one handed is a lot. Best install video out there by far.
I was actually about to order the same headlight and your video was the first one that popped up on installation. Appreciate people like you that take the time out to help others. Good video man. I also subscribe to your Channel. Keep doing what you do I hope to see you grow
Followed along your video doing my 07 gmc 1500 headlights and everything was spot on. Saved me a lot of guessing, appreciate it!! Would like to add a bit of info on the lights. One is regular lights and one is high beam. They have different tabs to inset into the housing. Went to auto zone and bought the ones recommended from the book. One wasn’t correct. Correct ones are 9005 for high beams and H11 for regular lights .
Ok , anyone else wondering what a 7/32 millimeter size is?...OK, never mind, you caught the mistake..good deal...are you sure the grill needs to come loose?? I've ordered those same smoke lenses,,, and smoked tailights.. and I'm so glad you mentioned 2007.5,, had to order 2008 headlights, 2007 were way different, clarity.
I realize this was 'a while ago' and they were crazy expensive, but the price on LED headlights has dropped like a stone. Do yourself a huge favour and replace the high and low beams with them NOW while they're still access-able! The low beams aren't bad to get, but the highs are bad after they're installed. I got Sealights for mine and they're awesome. On the other hand - don't replace your turn signal bulbs with them (LED's) unless you like REALLY fast blinkers! Ha ha. Yes, you can get load resistors to get them back in check. Just make sure they're more than 8 ohms, as the BCM in my '08 still thought the bulbs were out (with the 8 ohm ones).
Awesome brother, I have the same truck, I was unsure on the all black housing but they look absolutely sweet! Any updates on headlights after rain or car wash?
Hey I have a question. I have the same truck as yours and 2 years ago I replaced my tail lights with after markets. I bought a harness for one of the bulbs that I can remove. There are 4 bulbs I know the two brake ones are 3047 and the reverse light bulb on the bottom is a small hole and I can’t figure it out because online they say it 3047 and that bulb would be too big to go in that hole and I’d like to get an led bulb for it. Then there’s another small one I believe is a parking one. I look up online trying to do my research and I’m not getting anywhere.
I just put in newer headlights in my 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 and all lights work but the yellow run lights that act as blinker and run lights just wondering if you knew why it works as blinkers but not as runjingnlights
Mine took 3hrs because with any aftermarket lights I buy I seal them while they're out the truck otherwise it'd took me 30 minutes. You do not need to take the grille off though just finagle it some.
Removing the hood just to replace the headlights is not as bad as having to remove the engine to replace the oil. That one SUCKED!!!! The worst part is doing it every 3000 miles.
Great video

Any updates on headlights after rain or car wash?

7/32 mm socket may be hard to find
Thanks man I found that to be awfully helpful
Thank you 🙏🏻
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
What headlight is that?
Please explain what a 7/32 mm socket is must be a foreign plant device.
Oops oh well atleast you get what I mean.
Doesn't amazon use your truck as the example?
Do they? Send me the link
@Mr90sihatch they don't. I went back and looked, but its reeeeeeal close. I just installed these myself yesterday and so far, they're great.
I ordered a set from them and it’s taking forever, did you run into this problem to?
Question I just install the same aftermarket headlights on my 2012 GMC Sierra brand new and It’s get foggy
Being on the cheaper side these headlights tend to do that occasionally. You can buy some silicone and seal them up better yourself.
7/32 mm socket.
Roflmao still!!!!!!
Yea everyone seems to be calling out on that. Oh well hope it helped. Thanks for watching
How long did it take for the entire install?
Mine took 3hrs because with any aftermarket lights I buy I seal them while they're out the truck otherwise it'd took me 30 minutes. You do not need to take the grille off though just finagle it some.
I didnt want to break anything. Took about an hour.
Where’d you get that grill?
Ebay
Are these street legal?
Removing the hood just to replace the headlights is not as bad as having to remove the engine to replace the oil. That one SUCKED!!!! The worst part is doing it every 3000 miles.
We know you can count
Where did you buy those headlights?
Ebay
Where do I buy those headlights?
Ebay
I put a link in the description.
Lmfao!!!!!!7/32 mm socket!!!!!! F*** someone call 911!!!can't stop roflmao!!!!!
Yeah made a mistake so be it.
Have the fog out
LikeEEE
STEP ONE: Seal the headlights with silicone because if you dont they will leak.
Not always but youve got a point!
So basically I have to take apart my whole truck lol. Fml
In other words just sell the truck to change the head lights
Its an hour job..
Thank you
