@@torimontgomery7725 the malibu does have lane assist but it doesn't come standard on all trims. Mine doesn't have it but it's not a big deal for me. I focus on the road and the cars around me when driving.
Honestly it looks grotesque for something that cost 30 grand. They call this a malibu? do yall remember what the original malibu looked like? how did we go from that to this?

Bought one for my wife a couple weeks ago. Black cherry 🍒 with the RS package. All emblems are blacked out. This car is stunning , and a head turner. Car runs great with a lot of pick up with the turbo.
I just bought this car a week ago. Although the salesman at the dealer was great; treated me well. Didn’t rush, I left not knowing a lot about the car I just bought. @California_ Dreaming Actually I've sunk several thousand into that car at under 80,000 miles. Had to replace the fuel pump. I kept it though because it was a gift from my late dad and I like the way it drives.
I have a 2010 Malibu with 148k miles on it never had any issues with it. This blacked out Malibu is sexy.
I just bought a 2020 LT. I definitely was not looking for this car. Had others in mind. Never really noticed how good looking this car is. So the salesman ofcourse talked me into going for a test drive. SOLD!!!! Love this car. Had low mileage and git a great deal. Im not used ti anything this fancy lol. Im still trying to figure out some of these buttons, but ill get there. Thanks fir the videos man.
I got a chevy as a rental, and it took me nearly 30 minutes how to open the fuel cap, without my phone; I had to wait for another Chevy to pull up and demonstrate🤣
It’s crazy how some features standard for one car company and is a luxury to another company. That fuel cap alone would be a deal breaker for sure though.

@@seanpule266 🤣 yes… I remember there used to be gas thieves, who would steal gas from cars with plastic hoses.
I drive semi trucks and I am kind of paranoid about people stealing diesel from the fuel tanks; it wouldn’t be so difficult because it’s a twist off- imagine 2 huge tanks, 300 gallons, just sitting there. It’s an easy fix , but no one seems to care.

Really good looking car with the black and chrome trim. I would definitely consider this if I was shopping for a mid-size sedan.
I bought our 2020 with only 4 miles on it, black cherry RS model, doesn't have the seat warmers, but that's alright, the performance and handling of it is excellent, definitely gets up to speed getting on the highway, seats are very comfortable, especially for long drives, have had alot of compliments on how it looks 👍

@@kimkritzer5883 I actually just traded it in:( it was in the shop more then I could drive it🥺 it was a 16 and I had no warranty so that’s a big reason why I traded it in but I did LOVE my Malibu so so much!

I just traded my 2015 Chevrolet Cruze for my 2020 Chevrolet Malibu almost 3 weeks ago at Century 3 Chevrolet in West Mifflin, PA. I got the one with the sunroof and leather seats which are heated and the heated steering wheel. I like the auto stop feature on it. It has saved me gas. I have ordered weathertech floor mats and a trunk liner.
I didn't expect to like this car but it is very attractive and is an exceptional deal.
This car has never been on my radar until I actually had to rent one while I had my car in the shop now I'm now looking into buying one

I like the blacked out effect. I just bought one, not the blacked out, in frb of 2024. I like it but it has the shift to park issue. Finally got that fixed and so far, I'm happy

I love the Malibu now the pne i have is a 2014 and I love love all black girl with tinted windows that I did myself. And I love her. I rented the 2019 and its nice also. Im a chevy girl and love them. That 2020 is fire 🔥. Especially it have the tinted window ewww whee
Going to pick up my 2020 LT sedan Wednesday from Carvana, I'm super excited! It's a super sleek looking car, just thinking of what I can add to it to make it perfect. It's a metallic Northsky blue
I think it looks good! For me, I think I would prefer the Redline Edition instead of the Midnight Edition. Those red highlights really pop on a black car. Unrelated to the Malibu but I own a 2019 Camaro with that same infotainment system. I've heard Wireless Apple Car Play is coming. Any idea if my system will get that via an over the air update or is that just on future vehicles?

The 1.5 liter engine is too small, even with turbo. On this particular car, the chrome dealer emblem on the trunk lid sticks out like a sore thumb on the blacked out scheme. A dealer edition license plate frame would be in better taste.
1.5 turbo , not like another engines ..
I think the dealer emblem is just a sticker, but I do agree, it's tacky.

Why not a black bow tie on the steering!!! And maybe so mirror turn signals...everything else is great.

This vehicle deserves extra special attention before this November. It’s the only American FWD sedan still in production and it’s planned to be discontinued on said month. Many American FWD entered production in the 1980s and many models were in production through to the late 2010s when the Malibu became the sole model produced. And because many foreign brands offer a large selection of cheap sedans in the American market and many Americans prefer SUVs over sedans, the odds of any American brand ever bothering to invest in a new sedan model ever again are unfortunately very slim to none, except for the 4-door sedan variant of the RWD Ford Mustang which Ford has officially considered. So not only will this mark the end of an era, but it’ll also be everyone’s last chance to get a brand new American FWD sedan in their lifetime before the window is closed forever.

Does yours have the auto stop/ start. I’m contemplating getting one but only the 2020 has the button to turn that off which is why I’m not too sure
T R mine has the auto start thing but it doesn’t have the button to turn it off. I wish it did.

Just bought this car does it have collision detectors and side mirror dectors when a car is near by on the sides or no ?
They lost me when he said cvt transmission I'd pass on it I have 2012 Malibu with the 2.4 decent car. I had two Nissan products with cvt transmission they all had complete failures before 110k. Would never buy anything with a cvt again
Don’t let Nissans piss poor build quality deter you from other manufacturers who actually know what they are doing, i got 300,000 miles out of my Toyota CVT and it was actually the engine that blew that forced me to give it up, otherwise i would still be driving it today
@@marco.morel04 I know someone that has 290k on his Nissan cvt he add a intercooler for his transmission to keep his fluid cool
I heard of Nissan transmissions going out before 30,000. They are probably the worse. I cringe when i hear they are putting cvt's in more cars.

Quentin Holley Toyota is a far superior manufacturer to anything Nissan and Chevy make now a days, they truly don’t compare I know plenty of people with Tacoma’s,camrys,corollas that go far beyond 200,000 meanwhile most chevys struggle past 120,000

@@AirDropScar I sold mine to CarMax 12/2022. Tranmission was going out. Had it 6 years total. Went back to a Honda and never looked back
Keep up with oil changes and regular maintenance. These GM cars are either okay for a while or end up being a moneypit like mine was. Nevertheless best of luck.

The car is dope but the little things are cheap… the glove compartment hinges are cheap and the pin came out And The chrome trimming is coming off, the backseat pull levers fall off easy! Keep in mind the plastic components seem cheap…

My brother-in-law bought one, brand new, 2 years ago. At 25k miles, it's transmission broke. And for your info, he is an extremely slow driver. This car has been known for transmission failures when we did the investigation
Don't wanna be that guy but that car is pretty bad if you're not just a casual driver. The 1.5 engine lacks power generally but specially from a complete stop, the lag is incredibly long when you press on the pedal and potentially dangerous if you need to go from a complete stop into sparse and rapid traffic. The finish inside is hard and feels cheap. There is no space to store anything besides the armrest, in which you have no separator or bucket so everything is just dumped in there. The glove box is so small you'll need to crush that tissue box so it fits. The trunk has no handle to close it so be prepared to dirty your hands and have those finger marks on the paint, and talking about the trunk, some metal is exposed making it look unfinished and really unprofessional. The weight distribution is also pretty bad, the front end is light and feels as it's gonna give if you take a curve with dust or pebbles. All in all this car is has quite a lot of shortcomings but as I said, a casual driver might not care so much. It's pretty comfy and it's a cheap buy.
I had this model as a rental for awhile and I would agree with everything you said. I have a 2019 Fusion SE with the appearance package and while not perfect I love it compared to this Malibu.
You forgot the mention the 2016-current if your unlucky the motor will blow before 60K or after 60K. The headliner leaks water and no one knows until after the fact. Rear shocks start to pre-mature worn too quickly at 60K.
Source: 2016 owner with all those issue. Most high dollar fixes under warranty.
i had a malibu YEARS ago. there was a cup holder on the leftside dash - loved that car! Are the back headrests removeable? i'm only 5' 1" and would find it difficult to see over the rear dash through the rear view mirror...thanks.

Just a professional view. Don’t park the car on wet or oily pavement. It makes it seem the cars you show could be the one that leaks.
A lot of people are complaining about the 1.5 Liter Turbo Charged Engine... this car is perfect for anyone just starting to drive... I got one and it’s AMAZING... I was still able to get up to 120 mph on the Interstate without going into the Red on my RPM’s... I am too superstitious to go any higher than that so I let my Sister drive it and she had to get all the way up to 145 for it to get into the red... she pushed it for like 5 seconds and stopped... didn’t wanna blow the engine lol... but yeah, this is a 4C 1.5L engine... my Dad has a 4.2L V6 and you barely even touch that gas pedal, and you can go 60 mph... I couldn’t control that shit so I stopped driving it after half a mile 😂... but it’s weird because about a week ago, I got into a Chevy Camaro with a 6.2 L V8 and I was able to control that... so idk why his Trailblazer was so difficult to control the speed.
