lol... no. you are confused because tom knows how to play numbers. His digital sales get more numbers because tom pushes for that. No one downloads digital anymore unless artists specifically ask their fans to do it. over 99% of music listeners are streaming not buying digital. I literally have bought in the last 5 years one album by atmosphere digitally and one single by tom macdonald. To support the artists; and it was pointless. I can just stream them and even download them onto my streaming app for free... which is why no one does it.
Eminems spotify for example has over 66 million monthly listeners. Toms has less than 2 million monthly listeners. Eminem doesn't drop exclusive videos on youtube; they release on many channels at the same time; so you can't even get a comparison based on youtube without doing a lot of leg work.
But look at eminems last album; he had a billion streams; moved almost a million units and almost 160 million video views just ending out the year it was released.
Toms entire career of music so far hasn't reached those numbers. (might be getting close though).
His billboard plaques are all for digital sales. Every one of them. Because he figured out how to game the digital charts with sales which count as 1500 track streams. So if he can get 5,000 digital sales; it will count as over 7 million streams; so when he released he asks all his fans to buy those singles. Which means at the end of the week he can pull off getting number one.
Look at who usually has number 2 behind him; its often old ass michael jackson songs or hip hop from the early 2000s..

The entire song is based on Stan, but as in if Stan had survived the crash at the end of his song, and you can see the amount of detail they went into recreating Stans room and car that he drove off the bridge, which is why it is covered in river weeds and has water pouring down it !!

The car in the “Dear Slim” video was an exact replica of the car from Eminem’s video “Stan”!! Tom bought it, sanded it down, and painted it!! He didn’t PAY to have it done, he did it HIMSELF!! Tom said that him and one of his buddies set up a water flow system inside the car for continuously flowing water to pour down it like it was freshly pulled out of the river! To quote Tom from “No Response“, he’s a marketing genius and the definition of a creator and an entertainer!!
The underwater scenes represent Stan after driving his car off the bridge if you remember in the video of Eminem’s. In other words Tom is Stan reincarnated trying to speak to the Eminem of the current day.
