how much horsepower after the turbo?

I have not retarded the timing and got no issues with knocking. What u need to do is to get BIGGER injectors, on the m43 ones or the m3 ones your car runs super lean. Those u used are the NA injectors and do not work for the turbo applications. m43 injectors are probably 140-150cc and the m3 ones are maybe 200. U need about 350ccor more. Use saab turbo injectors or audi AAN (2,2t 20V). What u need to do to stop it from running rick on the stock ecu is to take the airflow meter apart (remove the plastic cover)and tighten the spring that holds the baffle about 20-25 clicks ,I think it was clockwise. Just to make the spring stiffer so that when the engine idles and runs without load the buffle stays closed and ecu believes there is no fuel needed. When you open the throttle the buffle will open anyway and you will get fuel. Try that and I promise it will run great. I have tested up to 1,2bar of boost just for fun(as the whole car is) and it was running good and strong. U can try the m43 brains too, the idea is the same. Just get your injectors big enough and get fuel pressure regulator so u can tweak the fuel pressure.
    Hope it helps!

In fact the car didnt boost up for more then 0,5 at all and it was a really bad detonation at that point when I just tried it on stock injectors.

are u sure u run the m40 engine and not the m43? is the m43 as good as m40 to charge? and do u know if the manifold fits from m40 to m43?

I'm thinking of a similar project with an LPG 316i using a 318tds manifold with 524td turbo. Did you change any settings on the stock ecu? Or saab/audi injectors + AFM mod are enough?

Hi , original ecu? What fuel pressure? Thank you in advance :)

      Ecu was all original.
Cant remember as it was long ago, but I guess that I set basepressure to just above 3bar and progressive fpr (rising rate) I have used gets you 1 to 1,4 rate. That means when your boost is 1bar the fuel pressure over injectors will rase another 0,4 bar extra. That means when your base pressure is 3 bar and boost is 1bar the fuel pressure will be at 3,4. If you set base pressure to for example 4 bar you will get 4,4 bar fuel pressure over injectors at 1 bar of boost. Remember that I wrote about differential pressure over injectors. If you look at fuel pressure gauge you will see higher numbers because your boost will simply add up to fuel pressure. So you will see 4,4 bar of fuel pressure with 3 bar base at 1 bar of boost and when base pressure is set to 4 bar you will see whopping 5,4 bar fuel pressure at 1 bar of boost. And it is differential pressure over injectors that matters. Thats the rising rate fpr. With 1:1 fpr (stock) it will always be the base pressure you set no matter boost. Set 3 bar get 3 bar differential pressure at any boost. Another thing to consider is that when using rising rate fpr your fuel pressure will also drop progressivly when vacuum occurs.
Probably a little too much theory for youtube comment but thats how I am. No point to wright smthing stupid. Hope you are satisfied with my reply!
