Doesn't matter if it was offside or not it should have been reviewed.
First, it's hard to say he was offside or not. Second, the referee stopped the play so Real Madrid defenders and goalkeeper stopped playing (otherwise, they would have defended the goal if the play continued on). Third, before that disallowed play, why referee extended 6 minutes more of stoppage time? (I get it it's because of 2nd goal for Real Madrid but referee should have ended the play a bit early).
If they called it offside, then it's offside. Just because of the situation doesn't mean they should just go to VAR. Not every call needs to be reviewed that was clear offsides.
The crazy thing is, they did it on the other side for Joselu’s winner. The linesman delayed the flag until Joselu put the ball in the back of the net.

Idk anything about VARdrid or any of those silly claims because the players play to the whistle and the Real Madrid players stopped playing when it was blown.
But I swear I've seen Ederson get injured thrice this season alone when the linesman didn't raise the flag for obvious offside calls and let them play on until the injury was inflicted. The linesman and the ref are the ones at fault here, and the only ones who should be blamed.

But a back six can’t help you when your gk drops the ball on a straight forward shot and someone comes and rebounds it into the goal. They also can’t help when they are cramped and the striker is behind all of them but still onside to receive the ball. And because tuchel subbed off all his good attackers he couldn’t make anything happen after Madrid made the comeback. He thought he was being smart but he underestimated Madrid💀

The main issue is that the whistle was blown before the shot occurred. So it is unfortunate that it happened the way it did, but the play was dead before the ball was even heading towards madrids net.

The people that say "offside" dont understand the frustration that everyone has. The referees are not consistent at all. If it was offsides, then fine, but no matter what, it should have gone to the VAR. If Real Madrid was in that position, EVERYONE would react the same way and be upset. I'm not a fan of either team, but that was pathetic of the referee to blow the whistle.

On Real’s 2nd goal the refs let them play on even tho they thought it was offside which they then called. It got overturned and it became a goal. So why didnt they do the same thing on the situation he talks about?
Not the same situation, the side ref raised the flag after the pass from almost midfield, then the main ref whistled even before the goal assist not the actual goal shot and it was probably an offside, it was never shown clearly on tv. Madrid's was a legitimate goal just the ref was confused.

I saw a pundit saying that it is what it is but I disagree this isn’t a small game. This is the freaking semi final for one of the biggest games in the world with two of the biggest teams in the world. This should not have happened but it did and there should be Atleast a response from the linesman.
But why the referee decided to let the game go on until the 15th minute. That didn't make any sense, he gave 9 minutes extra and after the VAR check he gave 2 more. So he should have whistled at minute 11th, not at the 15th minute.
