Thank you for the fine review and Information! I purchased this light for $29.99, and in my area nine AA batteries of good quality sell for approximately nine dollars, effectively making this a $20 miracle. The weight, fit, finish, styling, for your average middle-aged flashlight wielding man is excellent. For the money this is a magnificent floodlight. Best way I could describe it is if you were at a typical high school football field during a night game and the lights went out, you could put this light on high and finish the game. No exaggeration. In the road it is equivalent to a powerful set of late model headlights without the boundary limitations. Highly recommended.
Great flashlight. I just bought one March 26 -- after seeing it in the store -- before I saw your review. I paid $29.99 at COSTCO in Sarasota, Florida.
I have the same. I bought it in January and charged once before using. Just last week I tried to use it but it doesn't turn on. So I charge it for several hours but it still doesn't turn on. It doesn't charge anymore no matter what kind of charger or for how long. There is an in and out usb C in the bottom but they don't work.
Got mine for Fathers Day today...son got in COSTCO here in the US on sale for $23.99. He got it for me knowing my 5000 lumen $109 Nebo fell off my desk and broke. Good enough for me needs at $23.99.
Great review and very thorough. Thank you for posting this. This review led me to purchase the AE-1028 as my first optic. It's obviously as good as the other well-known brands my husband bought for almost $300,and I compared the prices on eBay and the EPN website, and the website prices are cheaper. Nice review, help me a lot. Thanks 😊
I just bought this today for $30. I think it’s a good deal it looks quality and I like the phone charging option in an emergency along with the batteries essentially making it a $20 flashlight.
anything that comes with batteries is usually Duracell because they are cheap junk. It’s not a matter of if they will leak but when and then your light will be ruined.
I bought one and I wish that I had bought four. The flashlight is awesome. It lights up my whole backyard. I can light up two blocks where I live. Maybe some people got defective ones.
Just got mine. I charged it and tested it and for $30 its insane. I have not durability tested it but it feels decently solid while not being heavy bc of the batteries. Uniform brightness and huge flood beam are perfect for my around the house needs(if i had to go out at night and look for someone/thing). If it holds up as well as my old duracell 1k lumen(also solid but not rechargable) this is a great deal. Im not used to auto shutoff or warnings on flashlights due to heat/brightness. Kinda crazy how powerful this is considering a maglite(i like the made in usa aspect but their flashlights SUCK for throwing a uniform bright beam) for the price. If the usa would make this, id have paid double easily. But i need a bright searchlight for spotting/disorienting intruders and for hurricane middle of the night emergencies. This light is infinitely brighter and more uniform than maglite(which saddens me as a lifelong maglite user).
Awesome find I will pick one of these up when I'm at Costco next. Looks like a beast of a flashlight. Another option with the power bank feature is the Wurkkos WK15. It is pretty awesome. I went on a quest to find a small, tough waterproof power bank to take bike packing and camping and came across it. I bought two of them I liked it so much. They have a 5000mah battery so I can charge my phone 2.5 times using both flashlights. For camping having more flashlights as redundancy is ideal! The other thing I really like is that it uses green and red LEDs for charging and battery life indicators. Its the international standard for full and empty and very easy to understand the state of the battery. The WK15 having has a good spread of lumen modes with 1, 10, 100, 550, 1500, 3000 and awesome run time is amazing in those lower modes. I use the 100 lumens mode when doing things camping and it's plenty bright and lasts 32 hours in that mode.
Good review, bought one 21. at costco. The cord is not a tight fit, thereby I wondered if it was charging?? I was wondering if there is a charging light somewhere I am missing???
I was at Costco yesterday in northern Colorado and saw this flashlight for only $29.99 and thought that was a very good price that includes a rechargeable Lithium battery pack (~$10.00 alone) and 9 Duracell AA batteries in its own pack too. The rechargeable pack says it is 7.4V@4,000 mAH. The Duracell pack has only 3 batteries in series which means (3 x 1.5V) its voltage is only 4.5V. I do love the 4 blue runtime lights so you know when to charge to pack. It does come with an USB "C" cable for charging. I twisted the end back of the flashlight and saw the USB port and plugged it into my computer. I was then looking for a charging light and didn't see any. How will I know when the pack is charged? Then I saw that the USB port said "OUT 5V/1A". What is this all about? A USB "C" connector is both in and out for voltage. I took the battery out and discovered that is has the ports built-in to the pack. Then I discovered that the battery pack has 2 USB "C" ports and the other one, opposite the first one, reads "IN 5V/1.5A). Why the 2 ports? To charge the battery pack you need to plug your voltage source into the "IN 5V/1.5A" port and a red led then comes on. When the pack is charged that LED turns green. The LED is visible on the exterior of the flashlight so no disassembly is required to view its status. One port is to charge the battery pack and thee other to power your phone. This way the flashlight won't discharge your cell phone. If you push and hold the power button for 3 seconds, the flashlight goes into a power safety mode and won't return to normal operation until the power button is again pushed and held for 3 seconds. For 30 bucks, the Infinity X1 is a pretty good flashlight for the price and I love mine.
In an emergency situation you can use the rechargeable pack to power/charge your phone or other device if you need. So it kind of works like a power bank.
@@Brad-zilla Yes, I know now about the cell phone charging using the USB "C" port called "OUT 5V/1A". It is also heavy enough to be used for a defensive purpose is needed like to defend yourself from an attacking dog. I did notice that the zoom feature did not change the intensity of the beam at all. All it does is narrow the width of the beam. So it is more a set it and forget it feature. I did check Costco yesterday for the selling price online and it was $39.99 so the $29.99 price in instore only.
Thats why i was pretty adamant about certain features on my video for the 7000 lumen, that people can't expect that kind of thing from costco. These are made for the regular people, not professional life savers and such..lol.
Really nice light, I picked one up for $29.99. I do have to question their 180m range, however. Maybe it can be seen from 180m away, but I don't think it will paint anyone at 180m. Still an excellent option for $30USD!

Came across this bad boy after grabbing a slice of $1.99 pizza at Costco before I saw your video! Great video overview! I just subscribed. I don’t care if it has 5k lumens or fewer. I just think this infinity light is more in lines of the harbor freight lights
I wish I had read all the comments about how it is not 5000 Lumen and does not focus to a spot. So, I bought one. And now I have to return it. I hope Costco understands
I went to Costco today and they have recalled this Brand. They didn’t explain to me why they pulled them out of the shelves. Thats very sad. What a such great flash light!
When I turn it on, it goes through three levels, starts to flash, and then turns off. So I cannot get a straight beam yet. I tried to call, and all they do is collect personal data to call me back. I wasn't ok with that, and I don't know that they will, but because of that weird process I thought less of them for wanting so much information just to answer a question. It felt like full name, address, phone number, and email to sell it, to me. Do you know how to get a straight beam when I turn it on?
I can't remember if there was a film protector over the lens or not. I know if you cover the lens, it senses it and shuts off right away. You are holding the power button down for 3 seconds to turn it on correct?
Just watched the whole video trying to figure out why this was turning off so quick right our of the box...So hold down the power button 3 seconds to turn the Power Lock On/Off. $29.99 in store and $39.99 shipped. Finally found this in my Costco...Had 577 in stock 100 miles away and Zero in stock at my Club when these first came out...WTF Costco🤷♂
I bought this today from Costco. Came home, charged the battery and was filled with DISAPPOINTMENT. I was in public safety for over 30 years and I’ve been a flashlight geek all my life. No way this is 5K lumens on the rechargeable pack and there’s no spot. You have flood and huge flood. This is definitely not a light for public safety people who need distance. I’ve bought several of the Duracell disappointments from Costco and I’m done buying any Costco flashlight. This would be decent for an emergency but if you’re a flashlight geek, stick with Fenix or similar.
I think its great, especially compared to ones I found on amazon. I'm not a flashlight geek by any means, but to each their own situation. I use mine for home use, when fixing things, or going out to the shed. If i wanted one for public work or safety I would shop at a safety store for one more suited to my field and environments. I see a lot less quality ones around for a lot more money. But I'll definitely look into this Fenix, I've never heard of them where I live. Costco seems to have a very good return policy. I did just buy a light meter because I'm curious to get exact readings now.
I was thinking more about the flashlight and it dawn on me that with the lumens it produce, the optics will not allow it to zoom in tighter without burning up the lens and reflector. The Coast rechargabe 5000 lumen flashlight that was also sold in Costco also had the zoom deficiency. It's a $29 product after all.
I'm not sure, I didn't really look at it to be honest. On website this is the closest thing I could find. www.costco.ca/duracell-2000-lumen-tri-power-lantern.product.4000221446.html
Bought one. It won't stay on even with new batteries and a full charge on the rechargeable battery pack. The instructions were useless (you can either power it with the rechargeable pack or the alkaline batteries 😲 Just about returned it when I saw a little diagram on the back side of the power button that showed '> 3'. Real clear about what that was going to do 😲 but I tried it and now it stays on. Communications/decent instructions would go a long way.
Got one as a xmas present. I work in security graveyard shift. Rechargeable light is very bright but too wide focused on both settings. Also too long and heavy for security work. How long before the recharge batteries start to wear out ? AA batteries are not very bright at all for 9 AA's. A 10" flashlight would be better for security work with all the same features. This one at 13" is too long.
Just got it for $21 at Costco USA on sale

Will it take 3 D batteries in place of the AA battery pack? Don’t understand why they would design it to take so many AA batteries.

Thanks saved me 30$ cuz I have it in my hand like 5000 Lumens for 30 sounds like a lie
I just bought the Infinity X1 7000 for $39.99 in Canada... Sweet Deal.. AUG 27
$29.99 at Costco in Salem, Oregon.
Probably runs the batteries down in about 3 min
Don't be silly. I got a good 5.5 minutes on mine.
iI bought one yesterday and they were on sale for $29.95!
Even better then! Was it USA or Canada?
I bought 2, and yes $29.99. It’s a good flashlight 🔦.
@@Brad-zillaUSA, California
@@Alexmorales-ro5zg yeah i think online its more money because they calculate shipping into it. In store always cheaper it seems.
I just picked one up in Arizona for $29.99
I just picked one up in Oregon for $29.99
In-store New Mexico 29.99
0:03 What is that green LED lantern thing on your left by the flashlight?
I'm not sure, I didn't really look at it to be honest. On website this is the closest thing I could find. www.costco.ca/duracell-2000-lumen-tri-power-lantern.product.4000221446.html
@@Brad-zilla yes, that’s the one!
Great review!
It's on sell for 21.99
Overheat issue is not mentioned
Im not aware of this issue. If its defective, take it back. Maybe thats why they came out with the 7000 lumen now?
Mine was $23.99 also on sale. Your video does not explain how to charge. There are 2 different ports ?? 8 minutes of fluff
1:47 There is a usb-C port to charge the light, and one output on the other side, to charge your phone.
He did explain how to charge put it in the in to charge the light and out to charge a phone or something else really kool!
Where’s the serial number on this flashlight?
Just like everybody else just got one today for 30 bucks
was it the 5000? or the new 7000 lumens?
Bought one. It won't stay on even with new batteries and a full charge on the rechargeable battery pack. The instructions were useless (you can either power it with the rechargeable pack or the alkaline batteries 😲
Just about returned it when I saw a little diagram on the back side of the power button that showed '> 3'. Real clear about what that was going to do 😲 but I tried it and now it stays on.
Communications/decent instructions would go a long way.
On sale today 6/1/24 for $26.99
I just paid $23.99 after the $6 instant rebate at Costco.
mine doesn't charge anymore
That is usually the good thing about Costco, bring it back and exchange it for a new one!
Please give more details. How long have you had it. There are 2 ports. Is the correct port being used?
Why does it keep blinking and turning off. 🤷🏽♂️
Safety so it doesn't drain on accident. U gotta hold it for 3 seconds or so n I'm here to learn how to use the damn thing lol😂
$130 in Australian Costco not worth it
I got one and it’s awesome 🎉 don’t what this people are talking about though
Does it have a strobe light function?
only if you turn it off and on really fast! lol.. but seriously, no it does not.
I bought one today and it was $21.00 U.S. plus tax
It does not focus to a spot, so you can't use it to illuminate things a long way off. Disappointed, I'm taking it back
detailed review
Don't buy it. I did and returned it because it won't focus to a spot beam
5000 lumens....no way
I swear to God.....I one more person types "for 29.99" I will lose it. Anyway mine wont stay on. I just bought it from Costco for 29.99!!!!
If it won't stay on, it's probably in demo mode. I think if you hold the power button down for a few seconds it will exit demo mode.
for 29.99
🤭
