R.I.P. Peter Marshall, please spread some love and heartfelt condolences to his family. Before working on The Hollywood Squares, the Emmy winner who died of kidney failure was a singer, a straight man in a popular comedy act and a leading man on Broadway.
@@drinkinglotsofsoda As Peter said, on the general topics of their questions, yes. But they were always hearing the questions for the first time as Peter read them.
well...I just couldn't stop myself. I just watched a Hollywood Squares posted by Dreamdancer82 here on tube. It's with commercials, and what a trip down memory lane. But the kicker that got me here is that number one, the comments are turned off, so I couldn't point it out there, but during and airline commercial (I already forgot the airline!) with Frank Borman, it goes through the script, and right at the end he turns to two young pilot looking types and as it closes the one closest does a slow turn towards the camera and in the last split second looks firmly straight into the camera. My brain twitched ever so slightly and said "we recognize that face...it's...I had to jump back and rewatch because it hadn't fully registered only a "hay, wait a minute"..it was a young Jeff Bridges. As a child my brother and I just idolized his dad in "Seahunt". it was a very strange leap across time and generations, because I know my subconscious saw Lloyd in there too and that is one reason I noticed it. It felt strange because the initial sense was so much like a De Ja Due. It felt like a ghost! Check it out, it's mad funny!
Happy Days was the most popular show on primetime then. They tried SO hard to make Roz/Pinky a star. When Peter asked her to stand up, she looked like she was about to strip tease.
Panelists: 1. Roz Kelly 2. Charlie Callas 3. Rose Marie 4. Peter Graves 5. Doc Sevrenson 6. Demond Wilson 7. Bonnie Franklin 8. George Gobel 9. Paul Lynde
@@donaldleroy6502 Agreed. However, I think the TV game show business did not put those things into consideration until, as far as I remember, late 2005 when an episode of The Price is Right was delayed to air until May 2006 because it offered a Trip to New Orleans was offered as a prize and of course, it was in late 2005 that New Orleans was hit hard during Hurricane Katrina.
I love Rose Marie and Paul Lynde. Thanks for posting these.
Explain why you like these clips.

Between the show, stars and the commercials/Prizes I have time traveled back to 1976 and I like it.
Loved watching Hollywood Squares back then on TV now on You Tube! Thank you very much !
Enjoying these "reruns." Thanks for posting.😊
Love this show. Thanks for posting
This was a crazy great show; Even the music is psychedelic.
Loved this show growing up. Tv was so simple then
Fun show! Thanks for the upload.
I love Paul Lynde’s shirt…..Xs and Os
Peter Marshall will be 97 this year 2024 And Carl Doc Severensen will be 96.
I think this may be a record for questions that stumped the stars!
I noticed that too.
I thought they were briefed
@@drinkinglotsofsoda As Peter said, on the general topics of their questions, yes. But they were always hearing the questions for the first time as Peter read them.
Everytime I see Peter all I can think of is "Timmy, have you ever seen a grown man naked?" 😂

Love the way the contestant thanked Charlie❤
i reallr like all of the squares BUT PAUL tore me up when they first came out and STILL DOES 2019 cali
I agree that Desmond Wilson always looks mad. On Phil Donahue he was looking angry as well.

Because she was blasted on coke
@@BobShayOr pepsi
Roz Kelly is in the fabulous B movie New Years Evil.... brought to you by the same production company that made Cobra 😂😂😂
Was she in ‘Grease?
Panel: Charlie Callas, Rose Marie, Peter Graves, Doc Sevrensen, Paul Lynde (center square), Roz Kelly, George Gobel, Bonnie Franklin & Demond Wilson.
certs. two mints in one.
I first heard this on an episode of who's the boss
7:24 George giving the behind the scenes happenings of the tiny hat tribe all the way back in 1976
I had to google what that meant because I wasn't sure.....hmmm. Deleted my original comment. 🤨
Rose Marie she was she was funny in the Hollywood squares
No she wasn't
@@drinkinglotsofsodaYes she was.
@robert. I agree!!
My favorite celebrities on this panel are Peter Graves and Rose Marie.
At least the Pontiac Vega had an iron duke four in it.
RIP Pontiac
The Vega was Chevrolet. Around 1972 Pontiac had the Pontiac ‘Ventura’ a nice looking car. Imo it was a step up from the Chevy ‘Nova’
best announcer Kenny Williams

@@BobShayNo he wasn't.
7:22 - Well...is he wrong?
Doc was a nice guy
Roz Kelly...nice.
you'd better look again - trashy mouth and trashy look ! everything about her screams " whore".
Is this out of sync?
Bonnie Franklin got screwed
The only thing that I didn't like about this version was their tacky buzzer to signal the end of the game. It was scary.
Desmond Wilson always looks angry on this show. They didn't need him.
He was the same way on The Match Game.
@@nhstorage Demond Wilson was never on Match Game.
@@patryan3989 He was on a couple of times in the 73 season, they never had him on for more then a week at a time.
@@nhstorage Jimmie Walker from Good Times appeared several times. But Demond Wilson never did.
@@nhstorage You may also be confusing him with Stu Gillam. He did 2 weeks in 73 and never appeared again.
Kenny Williams is a Superb Announcer, But He's No Shadoe Stevens.
I like both of them tbh
@@tinamarie86 Different eras too. Shadoe fit better for the 80's and the 90's/early 2000's too, but Kenny worked for the original run.
@@ajk I agree on all counts
why would anybody want to go to Mexico?
To sneak into the US and get all the freebies.
In the 1970's, folks were happy to win a Trip to Mexico and any furniture or an appliance and of course, A NEW CAR!!!

gerry wilson wonder if demond wilson (no relation) would've come if he'd known he was in the lox or carol ltynley box
. 😊
Demond always seemed arrogant
He totally had ants in his pants
stinky Tuscadaro
Demond Wilson had zero personality .
He acted like a jerk whenever he was on THS,. Was Not friendly at all.
