Maybe nobody agrees with me, but I'm very happy they ended the series. Something about seeing the end of a cycle that began so far away in a different time and place really felt right. I don't really want another game, just maybe a trilogy release with all the games running with the same engine and graphical style of the GBA MOTHER 3.
I kind of agree. Since the nowhere islands was destroyed in MOTHER 3, another game would be pretty weird. The only mother related game I want now is mother 3 officially outside of Japan and an official MOTHER 1+2+3

The music just kinda makes me happy and sad knowing that the fun I had with the Mother games is over and that kinda marks the end of my childhood with EarthBound but now moving on to the Future kinda like a bitter sweet ending but none the less this ending just left me with smiles and tears and reminded me why I love the EarthBound series 😃😃😃😃😃

Claus- Mother 3- I was doing the first Masked Man fight in front of Long Name Temple and I couldn't beat him then on my billionth attempt just before the fight I said, abruptly, aloud, not realising what I had said to myself until it was too late and I'd ruined everything: "God fucking damn it he's Claus isn't he." I was so angry with myself because my brain had been working on who it was without me knowing and then as soon as it figured it out it just shot itself to the front of my mind with no respect for good storytelling whatsoever.
I've heard this so many times and I still can't help but almost crying from this, I love this series so much and it has really left a deep impact on me for the rest of my life, and I've only known this series for two months now, though i wish I would've known about this game sooner, I'm just glad I discovered it while I'm still young yet I pains me to see it end, at least they made it the best ending they could've given us. Thank you Shigesato Itoi and thank you Satoru Iwata, you guys really made a difference in many lives, including my own.
I think it would be nice to have a MOTHER 4. I think that the original trilogy is a great series, sure, but a new game every once in a while wouldn't be that bad. Still, even without a MOTHER 4, I'm satisfied with the amazing games that we have. Go MOTHER!
