I’ve known three rotary owners, this comment is accurate. My friends used to pour an entire can of two stroke fuel every time they filled up, they said the fuel needed to have a small ratio of lube for the internals, that’s so crazy.
Well considering the C8 isn’t going to be completely fabricated from the ground up, I doubt it will take 6 years. But god forbid people have priorities other than pleasing you.

Amazing how many so-called "corvette fans" don't know about the aerovette. It had an absolutely massive rotary! It had the falcon doors that tesla used as their claim to fame on the model x. It had a digital dash, and adjustable pedals... it was truly a car of the future.
I really think Chevy missed an opportunity to call the C8 the Aerovette. I've loved the concept for a while so them actually making a mid engined Corvette made me happy, and now I'm even happier that you're rotary swapping one (my favourite type of engine). Keep it up Rob, cant wait to see what happens next

Nah...it'll be well under 10k as a full turn key set up through GM Performance Parts. Don't forget that this is the base LT engine basically. I mean, you can get the 755HP LT5 for just about 18k ready to drop in.
I must commend you for taking on this project and for committing to the purchase of the internet's hottest 'new' car just to take it apart. Your description of the 4 rotor engine design, modifications and performance was amazing (although much was wasted on me). During the process of bouncing from engine to engine to engine and back I ended up dizzy and feeling video drunk. I look forward to watching your progress. Rotary rpm is 1/3 so 6k is really 2k. They have tons of torque when you realize this fact
I feel that this is the real talking point here...
My guess is that they counted all 3 chambers per rotor. Mazda doesn't do that, so it'd be quoted as a 2.1L by mazda

I must commend you for taking on this project and for committing to the purchase of the internet's hottest 'new' car just to take it apart. Your description of the 4 rotor engine design, modifications and performance was amazing (although much was wasted on me). During the process of bouncing from engine to engine to engine and back I ended up dizzy and feeling video drunk. I look forward to watching your progress. Many UA-camrs are claiming 'the first' C8 this-or-that...you are actually doing C8 firsts. Good luck.

Good job Rob! The new, innovative, inspiring idea to build a mid-engine 4 rotor C8 sounds brilliant. I like this idea much better than the 6 rotor build. Also, brings in more interest on youtube between the corvette/rotary community together
