There was a player version of the Marauder that was made in the early 2010’s, I own one. It has a jassmaster single coil for the neck pickup and a triple humbucker for the bridge pickup!
You need your own guitar show, Joel. Dead serious. You are so comfortable in front of the camera and I love your taste in playing. I hope one day it happens!
Radiohead and Steely Dan, my two favourite bands in one demo vid 👏 0:00 Radiohead - Blow Out 1:37 Beach House - Zebra (thanks to Marcos) 2:23 Steely Dan - Josie
Not sure whether Carlos's handiwork or Joel's name showing up in the video title caught my eye first, but lots of magnificent artistry in many forms on display here
What Carlos is doing is amazing. He is breaking some new ground in the custom shop and doing interesting stuff. That bridge is fantastic and I cant wait to play one of these or the new Baritone that he is making. Can't say that about the 1 millionth CS tele or strat that has come along. This makes me excited about fender again. BUT that almost 10k price tag is absurd. Guess I will support the small boutique builders still.
@@ggvbeer4339 Exactly. My Xotic XSC2 that came with a master grade flame maple neck and is the best S type guitar I have owned was under 3k. Got an Iconic with a Quilt maple top that PRS would love for the same with Lollar pickups. Same for Gibson too though a new Junior in the custom shop is 4799? Give me my Bunting Alice anyday and I bet it's better than anything Gibson has put out. Guess that's why I keep buying from smaller companies. You get amazing guitars without paying for brands or "master builder"
It’s a master built, so it’ll hold its value and can be used as an investment piece. Not stupid at all. It’s the same reason people buy $800,000+ pianos.
The original prototype looks like it had FOUR "stealth pickups" under the guard, a very Jazzmaster type controls and control panels, and a Strat vibrato. The second one (the blue one), seems to have three single coils, an even more crazy control set, weird panels, and some weird take on the Jazzmaster/Jaguar vibrato. I'm not sure why this one isn't somehow closer to either of those. Two gold foils is kind of lame considering the three or four pickup idea of the prototypes. And why foils anyway? And whatever quirky switching Leo had in mind seems to be lost. This is a pointless joke that is NOT a Marauder.
$9240.00??? I'll wait for the Squier version.
Literally about to post the same thing 😆
If they release this in american standard line i would by it. Squier would destroy the quality lol.
Sold out 😆
@@andresj89 really? wow. I wish fender release it in standard line. This is the coolest looking guitar that fender ever made.
Well, it is a custom shop, after all, handmaid and taken care of by Fender's best luthiers. And it's a very rare model.
Blow Out is the last thing I’d expect to hear in any guitar demo.
ikr !
And it was so exciting to hear
EXACTLY!

there's some Wicked Game going on in the background from about 00:36
@@danielbrown8556 thanks so much. That melody was hunting me for month now and I couldn't find it. Finally!

Bridge is gorgeous.
Love these guitars would love if fender made a slightly more affordable Marauder II maybe a Mexican made version
Carlos Lopez is killing it

Dude was playing Zebra by Beach House at 1:35
sounded SO good
So a BILT but 3x the price and no mastery bridge?
Marauders existed before Bilt. Even the Bilt headstock is borrowed from Fender.
the dentist that ends up buying this 10k guitar is going to be so stoked
Very nice! Would love one with the pickups that they intended on it. In a thin skin avri model.
digging fender factory's trashcan sounds fun.

Radiohead intro!! Blow Out
When I see Joel I know it's gonna be a tasty video.
It should say “Master BILT by Carlos Lopez”
Gorgeous...
These vídeos are great.
are you sure these aren't the novak gtx-hmb pickups, which are humbuckers?
What pickups are these ? Any way to get our hands on them ? 🔥🔥🔥
Nicest sounding sultans and wicked games I've heard in a while. Dreamy rig.
Beauty !
Dang! AND TWANG!
Nice Bilt copy
Nice gittar! A little pricy if the next comment is correct! But this axe sounds really good!
Joel playing a Fender offset is a nice change... though I do love Shelby
Shelby left CME unfortunately 😔
@@SandeepSingh-zc5sh :( OH NO! I didn't realize, but that makes much more sense.
Looks like something Rhett Schull would play.
Did Fender ever produce a guitar with plastic tuner buttons?
Did I hear a bit of beach house in there?
$9000+. There's one on reverb as well through CME for North of 12,000. Who would be dumb enough to buy one of these?

BilT Guitars makes a similar guitar for a fraction of the price ;)
But I see -*several* Fender Modern Player Marauders listed in Reverb. 🤷🏾♂️
Sooo when is BiLt getting their cease & desist from ol Fendie??? Lol
Interesting fat sound yet single coil...
2 saddles for 6 strings?? 🤔
Beach house!!!
And steely dan what a demo

That's a LOT of dollars for a guitar.
BILT Guitars
I don't think I could even pay for the Tax cost :-(
Thats not custom... thats a robbery
Get a used BILT for $2000.
Radiohead!!!
wow the fender hate is stronk in these comments lol
