Because the game itself invites comparison to link's awakening (beach, grappling hook, etc) i cant help it but compare it to link's awakening, and at the start i really felt "okay so this is for someone who really just wants more LA (and i do), now just convince me that playing this is more worth it than just replaying LA". And around the grappling hook dungeon i kinda started to get that either the game had like 20 unique mechanics or it was legit just a half hour game because no way that's so early right? And then it ended early, and the tower mode is okay but this isn't even early access, it's a full release. For the price i dont know how else they could price it and it's polished enough that it doesn't warrant being free or anything, but this did not convince me that just replaying LA isn't a better idea.
Yeah, I thought "ah, he woke up, now to the village! Ah no, immediately to the sword. Now to the village? Ah no immediately to some dungeon... I'd like to play it, when it's like €1 or 2.
You need to check out Void Vigil which just came out in EA. It's a brotato like that is only $3 but has a lot of depth. Made by the same devs who made Boneraiser Minions.
A 30 minute game from what I'm reading in the steam reviews. If it were extended (finish, as so many stated) this would be a good game. The developer needs to throw about 15 to 20 hours of content to make it comparable to links awakening
Is it legal to take sprites from Nintendo Zelda the game change colors and design and make it into your own game because this straight looks like a knock off of Zelda
I feel this game is lazy as bar giving you a dodge right off the bat it borrows way too much from Links Awakening and I'd wager there are at least 2 or so bossed that are clear rip offs.
*Lank's Awakening* ❤
Firsst thing I thought too!!! That beach scene too Nostalgic
Watched the first minute and stopped
I'm gonna play it myself
Thank you for this, subscribed
Four Horsemen of the Indie Apocalypse:
Souls-like
Rogue-like
Metroidvania
Zelda-clone
Souls like if it was an indie game staple would be dead last..
It's an exact copycat of Zelda. Super lazy and unoriginal.
@@skidooshlayman12 you forgot "Deck-builder". Gad I think those are too frequent, along with Rogue-like/lite/whatever.
"We have Link's Awakening at home"
The final boss in this game is Nintendo’s strongest lawyer
Lol, the dirt under the grass was in the shape of a key.
Game looks awesome. Definitely going to check it out.

I'm in the same boat. I loved everything about it but $8 is steep for a 45ish minute experience.

Seem this was more to be a roguelike like Hades than a story game like LA. Now if floor 51 is the final floor and no boss, we may have a problem.
I was literally yelling at you for going the wrong way when you said, "go ahead and yell at me"
Kinda stole my thunder
3:57 the bushes follow the outline of a key
Love the sound design and art style of this. Definitely a pickup.

I'll take a peek!
That looked fun! I think I would want it longer for $8, but still looks and seems fun.
That's some serious nostalgia vibes
It certainly does look beautiful.
I think the term is "Bag of Spilling".
Lonk’s Awonkening
This reminds me so much of links awakening for gameboy color.
I guess imo $8 is pretty justified for this game. Now if that tower part wasn't there, it would've probably easily cut the price in half.
Wow, rolling really wasn't his friend. It seemed like he kept rolling into trouble instead of just walking.
Yeah it wound up being quite difficult to use well
Cast away? Thats a flash game!
@@cobytaylor2097 I was looking for this comment! Happy to see someone else remembers it!
It even starts out the same as the the two flash games wash up on beach and find weapon and kill or be killed
OMG, my old ass is getting flashbacks to the Gameboy LoZ: Link's Awakening! Don't tell Nintendo...
No mention of Survival Kids for the GBC? Seems like a big inspiration...
Looks cute, but eight bucks for something this short?
Maybe put it on the wish list and wait for a sale.
Good game but to short for me
These indie devs been cooking and been happy playing these game. I gotta sub to this.

Maybe “foreshadowing” is the term?
Chekov's axe is the most used term that I have seen.
Dont tell Nintendo about this. Shhhhhh.
It's literally on the Nintendo eshop you numpty
Mmm! Steamed hams!
Damn, so close man!
The Plucky Squire has even better art!
@@yuu-kun3461 much higher price point though unfortunately
@@_VeryHotSoupand some pretty terrible gameplay unfortunately
@@_VeryHotSoup free on ps plus
Why is there no version for macbook?
wow thats rly a bold fake-"remake" of Link awakening.
it looks stunning, i hope nintendo wont stop this project with their lawyers
@@PrototypeErebos it's on the nintendo eshop so they didn't mind.
If this is a dig at what Nintendo is doing to Palworld you're a numpty.
finished it and loved!@
What console is this game for
Only on Steam, no Android?
Links awakening fever😊 dream.
Damn. I liked the video. i'm not happy tho.... 49!!!! How dare you Haelian.
This wants so badly to be Zelda.
Wow this game is clearly a rip-off but no game will ever recreate the true feeling of playing mario
Remember how Palworld got sued...? 🤔 Nintendo coming here soon. 😂
Zlada... why play this and not Zelda though?
Generic human-sue game that looks WAY too close to Links Awakening. Yeah, really charming.
I am not sure you could have walked into more things if you tried.
What is the point of this game? I don’t get it.
tragic
Hot Garbage

Rogue-like? 👎👎👎👎
Its just links awakening but with crappier graphics

Link's Awakening DX HD is better, and free.
