The 1974 original Black Christmas much like Carpenter's 1978 Halloween.Is proof that you don't need blood and gore to make a horror movie interesting and fun. Michael Myers and Billy were scary simply by being unknown.
I have this movie and i never saw Someone satnind in front of a frozen pool with a hand poping out nor seeing that dana girl getting stuck in the light bulbs being pulled back nor seeing her fall off the roof and last not seeing that billy guy apear on top of the roof when that melissa girl is in the dark. How sad.
in a way this can almost be a sequel, if it wasn't for some of the flashbacks. because he escape from the mental hospital where he obviously wound up after they found him in the original one. and then he kills the new girls that are living at the house.
@FeeberFly I recommend to watch it, it's on here so you don't have to pay for it or anything, although I don't know if all the parts are actually available, but I think it would be good to give it a try.

I got the original 1974 version on DVD to me I still think it's better than this one. It's were Olivia Hussey got pregnant and Margot Kidder got stabbed by a Unicorn figurine LOL!
Dumb, that they ever put used that death in the movie. I really wanted to see how that scene turned out. And if they never even intended to released that scene at all. Maybe some other director or scriptwriter can use the death for a movie.

This movie is very impactful. The trailer is amazing which is rare since most horror movies have shitty trailers.

the original billy was scarier, the antagonist is much more frightening if you don't know much about them.
this movie is sooo disturbing. it seeme like if it is really low budget and the blood and stuff is really cheesy it makes it more gritty.
