Love this series! I started playing rather recently and while I got the basics down, I have yet to learn some more nuanced aspect of the game.
What I personally struggle most with is playing against new decks I have never seen before. I only know the decks and cards I regularly play against, so it can be tiresome to play against a deck of 50 never seen cards.

When in doubt do your best, but don't forget you can always ask what the card does. Most Weiss players will gladly tell you. But I completely understand the issue I deal with it a lot, especially with how fast sets come out.

Ill leave this here even though it may not be relevant to you anymore. But playing against a deck you haven't played yet seems pretty bad, as you play you will find abilities that recur throughout the different sets, so they may have 50 cards, but you may have seen half of them before when you fought other decks.
Just something to keep in mind

New to the game and enjoying the videos. Very helpful! But can you please correct your pronunciation of the game’s title? The words are German for “White/Black”…

Hey! I'm thinking of getting into Wiess. One of my favorite anime is angel beats and I'm wondering if you know if that deck is any good or not?

Hi Soul Evans! I'm a Angel Beats player for over 10 years. The series is not very strong compare it used to be, due to the game meta and power creep. However, it is a very technical deck to play and if you are into technical and planning. Angel Beats will be a great deck for you, there is a new key 20 years anniversary support for the series that have help the build to perform better. You do not really need any older set to play with the new support and its is much more powerful in terms of stats, compare to the older set. But the older set have a lot more interesting deck mechanic that make its deck unique in this current format.
I hope this help you out, the series is a great set for casual and fun play. If you are not into any competitive environment or group, and WS the game does have some level of luck factor that complement the chances for any deck to win against other deck.
What kind of play style do you think you like to play? maybe by informing us, may help us to guide you into a better direction? :D

Agree with the other guy. Angel Beats is a deck that can perform well if you understand how to pilot it at a top level; and it is SUPER satisfying to pull off plays with.

I have 6 climaxes and 44 non-climaxes in my AT trial deck plus. Do you think that Is a good ratio?

You are actually required to play 8 climaxes in any deck. And even if it was not, you always would want to play as many climaxes as you can.

@@TheDJAB No rule states that you must have 8 climax, only that you may have a maximum of 8 climaxes in your deck. You are correct that the best ratio is 8 climax to ensure your compression is optimised. The other 42 cards can be dependent on your deck construction of characters and events.
