Great reaction. They nailed this. It may well be their best so far. Obviously a lot of people know the original song pretty well so it had to be done well or not at all. It seems like they are bringing on guest singers to fill in whatever range best suits the song they are doing at the time. They've had a couple different ladies join them and Omar on this. It was pretty cool hearing Eli belt out the opening line.
Thank you. I agree, it is a very well known song so the pressure was on to do it justice and they did just that. I have noticed all of the guest appearances I was just wondering if this was going to be their plan going forth. Either way, they sound great and appear to be having a lot of fun doing the music they're doing; much less musical theater and more contemporary. Good morning JL. I’m so glad to see you! I totally agree...it’s probably close to impossible to get that rock guitar sound a cappella. They smartly focused on the harmonies. I thought Eli killed it...he let out his gritty rocker voice that I don’t remember hearing before. Could have done without Geoff’s one obligatory super low note but liked his “regular low” solo at the very end. Overall I really like their version. Hope you have a great day. 🥰

Well of course this is a cover, not a copy. There is a limit to what five guys do and I thiought Geoff's bass line was brilliant in this, and Layne is always great in what he can do.

Voiceplay does well on this, but to me it just is missing something...This is a song from my high school days. Love Geoff's take on this !!! He gets LOW here. I agree with you on the beats for sure naybe that's what is missing here
