I love your series on Angels. I started to see in the spirit and I didn't know anyone else personally who could so I asked the Lord Jesus to help me understand more about this. The next day your Videos on Angels popped up on my UA-cam. I just wanted to thank you. You really helped me.

this is Gnosticism in the church. When we look at "visions" which can be our vain imaginations, and we don't read the Bible, we veer off to false doctrine. The Word is what God gave us to direct us. God does not speak utside of His Word. I am grieved by the extrabiblical doctrines the UPC is teaching. We say we are separate from the Charismatics. However, the Charismatics preach all of this. The difference between us and them is we have a dress code.
Does the Bible not speak of the young seeing visions and the old dreaming dreams? Why do you approach this from a denomination standpoint? This isn't about one church vs the next. It's about reading the Word of God. From my readings, it is apparent God uses visions and dreams. Old Testament and New. Prophets are very much a real thing, just like false prophets. Again, drawing lines and comparing denominations only causes division. Whats important are the words in the Bible.
@@mcseavers This is not meant to cause division. If you look into where this mindset originates, it has a lot to do with New Age beliefs. By the way, the prophets were an Old Testament phenomenon. In Eph 2.20, we find that the church was built on the foundation of the Apostle and the prophets, Jesus being the chief cornerstone. WE don't need to lay another foundation, but to build on the foundation, already given. In Hebrews 1.1, the writers said that IN THE PAST God spoke through His prophets....but now He speaks to us by His Son. The Apostles and Prophets are past, and when we come up with prophetic visions, we are going against the Word of God. The Word of God is the prophetic (II Peter 1.19-21).
@@nelsonstiveens5140 please give me scripture to prove this. Again, if we have to build another foundation, other than Eph 2.10, we are building another building. The scripture is our prophecy.
Ephesians 4:11-16 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
John 3:5 is one of the most misquoted scriptures among Pentecostals. You always hear people, saying, like this speaker here on this video clip, born of the water. If you look at the scripture, the word the is not in front of the word water. It is born of water, not born of the water.
Thank you so much God bless you for sharing this very encouraging

Are you speaking of original Greek or A.D. 1500 KJV
John 3:5
[5]Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Thank you professor. We may have never figured that out
😂
Don't listen to the sarcasm of these comments...... I agree with you. We are biblically illiterate..
