When you said at the start that this was for people who knew nothing about cross stitch I was like "perfect!" I didn't even know the tread was called floss LOL. So this was perfect for me. You explained everything thoroughly and slowly so I found it easy to understand and keep up. I also appreciate you saying the "proper" way and your way. With all crafts it's great to know the correct method but we all know we do things our own way and often that is better for us so I like to see both ways. You did a great job. Thanks very much.
I really appreciate you showing me about how to work a printed cross stitch I have had questions and have asked people but got no help thanks to you I now know what to do for a successful project.😂
OH MY GOODNESS!! Thankyou soooo much! I just got my first kit and I had no idea how to get started! You have helped me immensely! Can't wait to finish my project
Thank you so much for this! I'm a beginner and all the other videos made it seem so overwhelming. This was so well made and really showed me how to do this!
I agree. I was about to give up on the idea but this video makes it seem doable. Thank you for addressing lefties. I watched too many videos an you're the first person to mention how a left handed person may work the stitches.
Thank you for the video. I haven’t done any cross stitching for 35/40 years. So this was a good refresher. Especially with the loop start I have never seen it before. Well done.
You did an amazing job. I will be doing my very 1st stamped cross stitch soon and your video helped me understand what I'm getting myself into. Thank you
Thanks for leaving the flub in, actually. My mind wandered at the wrong time and then I got what the end result was going to be but because you went back and did it again (instead of just editing the flub out) I grasped it right away the second time. You eased my brain into it and I appreciate it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. For someone who's never cross stitched before (or any needlework besides a hem) I appreciate you being real about the "textbook" stuff and not a cross stitch snob. This gives me flexibility to get familiar with just doing it, and finding what works for me xoxo. Thanks for making this less daunting!
Wonderful! Thank you. I am a beginner in cross stitch and went for the stamped rather than counted. When I looked at the material of my stamped, the color of threads were completely wrong. You explained it so nicely of how the color chart works, and I understood. You did a wonderful job. Thank you.
It's such a great video! I never have done cross stitching and always wanted to learn. I have just gotten an idea and did not know where to start. This is great for beginners like me. Instructions are so clear! Thank you!!
I a beginner, and thoroughly enjoyed your video!, I feel confident to give this a go, I have a small kit , that I am going to do for a little xmas present for my daughter.... Thank you so much!
This is the best intro video I’ve been able to find. LOVE that you explained how to thread your needle - I think it seems so obvious to a lot of cross stitch UA-camrs that they tend to forget to explain it, lol.
You can't be any better expert, you're the BEST teacher or u-tuber for me cause I had no idea how to start my first printed cross stitches. 👍👏 I'll recommend your video to anyone who wants to learn about cross stitching. I wholeheartedly thank you and thank you again. You're the best ! 🤗😽👍👏
I am just thinking about starting my very first Crosstitch project, and I literally had no idea how anything worked. I’ve watched a couple of videos, but by far this broke it down for me in such simple terms that I feel I have a really good basic knowledge of what everything means. Thank you. Very helpful!
Coming back 11 months later. I've started my own. Maybe a little bigger than I should have started with, but I got excited by my pattern, which is a spring scene with an English cottage. One stitch at a time. I did start out with the 'loop technique' but switched to making knots on the bottom of my thread, works better for me personally. But I do use a hoop still, which helped with working but also doing the pattern in stages. Helps with my motivation. Thanks again so much for this tutorial. I love working on my pattern! 🙂
I'm excited to start my project! This is the best tutorial and informational video that I've watched in regards to this type of cross stitch! Thank you! ♥
Hi Angie!!!! You are fantastic! I just started my first cross stitch and it's because of YOU and this very simple to follow video. Is my first project perfect, no, but you got me started and I love it! Thank you!!! 😊
You did an amazing job. Your video has been one of the best I have seen so far, and it is helping me a lot with two projects that I want to finish for my grandkids. Thank you for that.
Good idea to keep your mistake in ( when doing the loop method). That helps people who have no idea what they're doing see that even seasoned stitchers mess up. It's more appealing and comforting when teachers mess up. It also gives you a way to teach how to fix a problem :)
Thank you for posting this. I have done counted cross stitch for years, but never did a stamped kit. I found one that is absolutely perfect to hang, but I have zero idea where or how to start. This video was great and so helpful.
Thank you for this! This is exactly what I was looking for, someone who gave information on how to start for people who know nothing about cross stitch.
Thank you so much! I’m trying stamped cross stitch for the first time and I had no idea how to proceed. You were so informative and clear with your explanations that I feel ready to start my project. ❤
You are the greatest! I purchased my first printed cross stitch and was so confused. You explained it so well that I understood what to do. I also subscribed to you in case I have any more questions questions!
Oh my goodness thank you so much for this!! My daughter had a small kids cross stitch kit that she’s been working on and I thought that seemed fun so I got one of the 11ct ones like in the video and was so overwhelmed 😂 I figured it out pretty well but kept second guessing myself since I had never done it before. You’re video was so helpful! The questions I did have you addressed every single one in this video! I was so excited! So thank you!
Thank Tou for a wonderful tutorial. And pleas le don’t apologize. I’m just starting cross stitching and even mistakes are valuable learning tools for me. Also you make it so easy to learn and not overwhelming. You did a great job all around. Thanks
Thank you for sharing your skills! And for explaining each step thoroughly! I feel like I understood all, and can do this. I love how patient you sound when you are speaking, because it in turn, makes me calm and patient. I'm excited to begin. Awsome video, many thanks!
I am not new to cross stitch, I used to do counted cross stitch, I've been doing diamond dots, but I saw advertising for stamped crossstitch so I wanted to try it, I love your tutorial very helpful thank you
Yay thank you for this! I want to get back into cross stitching again after 20 years not doing it!! I only ever did counted cross stitch before and wanted to learn about stamped cross stitch and this really helped. ❤
So excited to get started with cross stitching, I've always loved hand stitching random stuff I've the tears to add color or attach patches to my stuff. There's something about it that calms my mind
No need to apologise, you did a brilliant job. As this is my absolute first time learning how to cross stitch, i made a really good first try, thanks to you😊😂. Btw, thank you so much for mentioning Left handed ppl. I think the world forgets not everyone is right handed!😢 Thanks for this great video, youv got me started on a great journey. X
Hi Angie I have been wanting to learn cross stitching…this video is the best I have seen so far for a beginner like me…I will keep following along with you…
thank god for this video for a min i thought i was doing it wrong because i was looking at other guides this is how im doing it the easy way. thank you this made me subscribed to further videos 😁
Angie! Are you trying to lead me astray? This tutorial is so good that I want to start stitching on top of the other stuff I already have and my place is too small, I don’t have room for anymore hobbies🤣😂🤣
Thank you for this so much Angie. I'm just getting back into cross stitching after many many many years. My problem is trying to get it into the embroidery hoop. It takes all my muscles! I finally just gave up and started doing it in hand however that's very hard when you have a larger canvas. You did a great job on your tutorial. I love all of them. Keep up the good work! 🌟🌟 Two gold stars for you LOL
@@debworkman5616 It can be tough to get it into the hoop at first. Try softening up the canvas a bit first by rolling it up back and forth and see if that makes it any a easier. Thank you so much! I was so nervous!
I absolutely loved this video! I’m a beginner have been looking for a tutorial that explained everything about stitching and you definitely nailed it thank you 🙏🏻
Hi I ran across your channel I’m a cross stitcher . I never knew that here were stamped cross stitch projects. I like that idea. I think I’d like to try one of these. So much fun
They’re just so relaxing and easy! I love a lot of the counted patterns, but the ease of the stamped kits makes it hard to go back to all that counting. Lol
Thank you for the very informative indo for these chinese x satitch kit, I recently got one and it's very different from the North American x stitch kits and I was making guesses. Thanks to your video i can do my project with confidence
I just ordered a Christmas stamped cross stitch. I understand everything so far, but on my instructions there is 7 different stitches. Which are all easy, and that's fine, but how do you tell which ones to use throughout the pattern? I wish I could add a picture so you would know what i'm talking about.
I have the same DIY kit and started with 4 strands and wasn't happy with the look so i kept it to 2 stands- well one thread doubled over. (1 over 1) i suppose is the way to say it. Hi Angie. I'm a beginner here. I appreciated this video so much. Just asking on how do you do with circles and dots symbols?
Nicely explained which a lot of people are not good at.
Surely you must have more black floss for all the black area? Experienced cross stitcher asking 😊. Nice job on the tutorial!
Does that grid wash off when you're done?
How do you figure out what stitch to use? My instructions show the different stitches but no key indicating what is what.
What do you do with the unstamped area? Thank you.
