The name of the dative case in English is drived from the Russian verb Дать(Так же?)
No. Term "dative case" -- originates from Latin verb "dare" -- to give.
Same, as computer terms "datum", pl. "data" (== something given).
However, both verbs have almost same stem "da-", which is not coincedental.
All Indo-european languages have common old roots.
