IT'S NOT SAFE, I REPEAT, IT'S NOT SAFE | Amnesia: The Bunker (Part Five)

I've tried saving the prisoner and I've lost my mind, trying to do so. I looked up whether it was possible later on, and it is! I'm not going back to do it, though. It doesn't affect the game in any way.
