Hello everyone. In my country, solar power systems are very expensive. You have to spend thousands of dollars on inverters, storage batteries, and solar panels. Although in the long run, solar systems will break even and start making a profit after about 5-6 years, the high initial cost has made them not very popular.
Today, I’m introducing a 5KW inverter circuit. The special thing about it is that it is much cheaper than commercial inverters on the market. It costs around $35 for a complete unit-really cheap! It can connect directly to solar panels and the power grid. In the morning or when clouds pass by, if the solar panels don’t generate enough energy for the house, the grid will automatically compensate for the missing power.

It does not operate in on-grid mode. The 220V AC mains is rectified to 310V using a diode bridge and fed into one of the inverter's inputs. If the PV generates sufficient power and its voltage exceeds 310V, the inverter will draw 100% of the energy from the PV to supply the load. When clouds partially cover the PV, causing its voltage to drop to 310V, the grid will compensate for the missing energy. At night, the inverter will run entirely on grid power.
