lets keep in mind that they're working very hard, and looking at the demos, they're very dedicated to their work. ppl complains when games are rushed and released like Cyberpunk 2077 and complain when games delay too much to be released. -rushed and bad -delayed and good pick one, you can't have both.

That W was already shown on him back in X4, during his flashback scene where Sigma was still a Maverick Hunter Capt. and Zero was a maverick due to Wily creating the original "Maverick Virus" when he created Zero.
That last part, though. ☠️ Definitely a sharp learning curve for new players, and a rude awakening for someone rusty. But at rhe same time...I kinda like it too.
I can't see a completely new player (new to the franchise), just trying out the controls for the first time, suddenly doing a speedrun of a platforming/hack-n-slash section.
Also, I'd think a newcomer's instinct in the final section would be to attack the big robot instead of running away from it. After all, he's gone through the level destrying robots that spawn from capsules
And they won't ever make. The people in charge don't want to touch the character with a ten foot pole. Megaman truly died with keiji inafunes departure from capcom.
This thing is getting better and better! Of all fan game projects out there, this is the most sofisticated one, I hope it reaches a release state some day!
The only thing I can hope is this project doesn't get a last-second DMCA from Capcom. I don't think Capcom would do it but we just live in a cruel world where we have all these insanely awesome fan projects that get developed, we almost get our hands on it, and then they get nuked at the last second by some greedy developer/publisher (often because official projects can't compete with the fan-made ones)

I love JKB's work that he's done so far, definitely going to be a polished product when he's done. I think he's worried about releasing anything for the public to play because as soon as he does that this game will spread like wildfire and if it does it'll get back to CAPCOM's ears, unless he's actually building this for CAPCOM, but if it's out there JKB risks getting slapped with the good ol' Cease and Desist order just like Chrono Break did.
Capcom rarely issues cease and desist orders on fan games. It has happened but I can only think of a handful of times it has happened. If he was that worried of such a thing happening, he would have ended development a long time ago.
As long as JKB isn’t making money off of it he should be fine, Capcom only really problems with mods such the kind you see in Street Fighter where characters like Chun Li are completely naked lmao.
That's what I've been thinking for a while now. I feel bad for JKB always getting hounded for a release date when he's made it so obvious that's not what he wants.

He'll basically have skill trees where he'll have access to some of his old skills. With the Black Armor he also gets access to his X5 skills. And it works on a level up system so it will be interesting

This is what Megaman fans deserve after such a long wait, any scrap and bit of gameplay to let us know how development is going, there’s also an SNES X8 Demake if anyone is interested. X7 really deserves a Demake the most.
Yeah warp vulpex stage and hurricane horizon. Their last of the 8 maverick stages to complete but after them it's the other three fortress stages (only the first one is completed)and the final boss stage
Yeah, Warp Vulpex was almost done, but the devs decided it wasn't very fun to play and redid it, and Hurricane Hoatzin wasn't fun at all. The other six Mavericks though, it seems like their levels are done and going to stay done at least.
@@LewkeCage It does highlight one of the few things I have issue with the development of the game: the many, many reiterations of assets. They've done 3, possibly 4 different tilesets of the Cyber Lab, and while the latest one is impressive...surely the previous ones could have gotten the job done.

This was from one of his more recent twitch lives. That's where you'll see the most updates not on UA-cam. He'll only post certain big stuff for UA-cam but for updates it's best go on Twitch and watch the lives when you can

By the time this game is released, if that happens at all, people will know how to beat the game and all its content there will be nothing new to discover about it.
- no moment to teach the player to dash? - no moment to teach wall climb? - how to cling on the yellow lines? these should have little moments in the intro.
it doesn't have to have a tooltip. just a raw moment for the player to play with it and learn like MMX had in the streetway with wall jumping and dashing

To be honest, there is no proof as far as I know. I sure hope it's a real thing. I asked them why they don't have a demo for it and they cited perfectly understandable reasons. I just hope this game ends up being real.
Honestly, with the amount of content they put out so far about the game and how much it evolved over the years is enough evidence for me, if it were a ghost project or some april fools joke it would have ended by now, people don’t put that much time and effort into a project if they don’t plan on releasing it, even if it takes years in the making
As of this post, 6 out of 8 Maverick stages are considered complete, and 2 that are still in progress. 1 out of 4 Fortress stages are complete and the last level is incomplete, though Fortress 2's boss is done according to the public tracker document.

Ok, so if you can change how you show appreciation to ya subscribers/donations on a smaller part of the screen in a corner somewhere, that would be grand. As to was in the way in parts of the video that mattered. It would've also cool if it wasn't either no commentary or low volume with commentary.

15 fucking years and no sign of demo or release date, this even worst than waiting a decade GTA 6 We waited too long that the hype is dead. Some people that waiting this game had passed away from disasters, accident, COVID or wars few years ago
Why is this the go to argument for why it should come out? People are going to die regardless of when or how this game comes out. The hype will resurrect itself when the game is ready.
The thing about a fan project is the extremely variable amount of time the devs for one have to work upon it. There have been large gaps where JKB and the others just could not spare a moment to work on it, and that's fine. They got lives, work, ect to be concerned with.
You can maximize the bar but also the reason JBK put it in is for more of a strategic base and having you actually think about the moves you make considering it also has some RPG elements in it
hmm....I don't know about that concept. I always believe Megaman games were strategic base to begin with when comes to navigating obstacles with the weaponry, learning the bosses pattern, and using their weakness. Thus, I've seen the progress of the game and it's starting to feel more kaizo base. It kinda kills my excitement at least for me. @@LewkeCage
@@MysticMan1993 it's that's fine. Some will enjoy it some won't but I like that it's sort of different from the previous games. I guess also because I enjoy more difficulty (it will be 5 difficulties on here for both new comers and long time fans)
I think you underestimate how long game development actually takes. It's a long and grueling process, not to mention this game is mostly made completely by one guy all on his own. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's something to think about.
As much as i feel that way sometimes, it's understandable. Game developing is far more than write code. You need to know art/design for sprites, backgrounds, etc; depending of the game, you need to think on the story behind, sounds ans songs. Not to mention, lots of testing (after all, it is still a software), optimization and stuff. Also, the game will have lots of features, which takes time to implement. This is a work for multiple teams, and MMXC is being made by one person. Or i might just be too naive/hopeful and you could be right. Who knows :P
A scam would be them asking you to pay for help only to not deliver which honestly JBK nor any of his team has done they said long ago it will release when they feel it's in the best condition to release. Hopefully that will be sooner than we expect but we all have the option to either wait or not but spreading misinformation doesn't help the situation any better lol

I’m not a huge fan of ZX either. I don’t dislike it, I just think it’s unnecessary story-wise. But to answer your question, I heard on the Discord that one of the sprite artists was drawing something that would connect Corrupted to the Zero series. As this game takes place on an alternate timeline after X5, it wouldn’t surprise me. It does make me question how Omega has the Rekkoha in Zero 3, since that was obtained in X6, but I digress.
This looks awesome. One question though. What is with all of the mumbling? It was very distracting and impossible to understand. The content was good, but next time either speak clearly or don't speak at all. Not trying to be mean, just speaking facts.

@@AmatsuDarkfyre Zero has to stop to do most of his slashes, this breaks momentum gameplay completely. Not even classic megaman had to stop to attack, you could do while moving. This may look "fine" in this video but the moment you start playing you will notice how frustrating playing with a clunky character like that is.
@@CoqueiroLendario Zero typically has not been the most mobile character. In official games he also has to stand still to do his combos and has limited options at first for attacking and moving. He does get some more mobility options later in MMXC though as Mavericks are defeated, just like official games. So I'm not sure what the issue is, unless you're thinking it would be 'better' if Zero did not behave similar to official titles.

While Zero certainly is more fluid and a more mobile attacker in some titles, MMX Corrupted is not seeking to be like those and be more like, well, the X series. I'm reasonably confident to do the combo attacks you'd still have to stand still in MMZ anyways.

If you're referring to Zero's shoulder guards, he received them in X2 when he was rebuilt by the X-Hunters.

To be honest, there is no proof as far as I know. I sure hope it's a real thing. I asked them why they don't have a demo for it and they cited perfectly understandable reasons. I just hope this game ends up being real.

Honestly, with the amount of content they put out so far about the game and how much it evolved over the years is enough evidence for me, if it were a ghost project or some april fools joke it would have ended by now, people don’t put that much time and effort into a project if they don’t plan on releasing it, even if it takes years in the making

I wonder if everything is done and they doing bug testing or there still work to be done like the final stages.
As of this post, 6 out of 8 Maverick stages are considered complete, and 2 that are still in progress. 1 out of 4 Fortress stages are complete and the last level is incomplete, though Fortress 2's boss is done according to the public tracker document.

I think depending on when those stages are done I think the remaining fortress stages of won't be too long to get through well at least as far as my prediction goes lol

@@lafbkhope5391 Eh, a lot of them were solid improvements. I like X's Intro Stage theme over the old one for sure. It just seems like Zero's falls a little flatter. It's not bad, just the old one I prefer more.

The fact that they don't release a demo makes me think is just a project for show and not to be released at all.
I asked them about this and they cited many reasons, including not wanting to make false expectations for the project, people would spoil the plot, etc.

Because there's no demo version to release. JKB has stated multiple times that they would prefer not to release any demos.

The thing about a fan project is the extremely variable amount of time the devs for one have to work upon it. There have been large gaps where JKB and the others just could not spare a moment to work on it, and that's fine. They got lives, work, ect to be concerned with.

I'm not a fan of that attack bar, and it could cause a lot of deaths. Megaman X games don't need a cool down system.
It seems to flow well and upgrades exist.
You can maximize the bar but also the reason JBK put it in is for more of a strategic base and having you actually think about the moves you make considering it also has some RPG elements in it
hmm....I don't know about that concept. I always believe Megaman games were strategic base to begin with when comes to navigating obstacles with the weaponry, learning the bosses pattern, and using their weakness. Thus, I've seen the progress of the game and it's starting to feel more kaizo base. It kinda kills my excitement at least for me. @@LewkeCage

I think you underestimate how long game development actually takes. It's a long and grueling process, not to mention this game is mostly made completely by one guy all on his own. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's something to think about.
As much as i feel that way sometimes, it's understandable.
Game developing is far more than write code. You need to know art/design for sprites, backgrounds, etc; depending of the game, you need to think on the story behind, sounds ans songs. Not to mention, lots of testing (after all, it is still a software), optimization and stuff.
Also, the game will have lots of features, which takes time to implement.
This is a work for multiple teams, and MMXC is being made by one person.
Or i might just be too naive/hopeful and you could be right. Who knows :P

I’m not a huge fan of ZX either. I don’t dislike it, I just think it’s unnecessary story-wise.
But to answer your question, I heard on the Discord that one of the sprite artists was drawing something that would connect Corrupted to the Zero series. As this game takes place on an alternate timeline after X5, it wouldn’t surprise me. It does make me question how Omega has the Rekkoha in Zero 3, since that was obtained in X6, but I digress.

@@AmatsuDarkfyre Zero has to stop to do most of his slashes, this breaks momentum gameplay completely. Not even classic megaman had to stop to attack, you could do while moving.
This may look "fine" in this video but the moment you start playing you will notice how frustrating playing with a clunky character like that is.
@@CoqueiroLendario Zero typically has not been the most mobile character. In official games he also has to stand still to do his combos and has limited options at first for attacking and moving. He does get some more mobility options later in MMXC though as Mavericks are defeated, just like official games. So I'm not sure what the issue is, unless you're thinking it would be 'better' if Zero did not behave similar to official titles.

While Zero certainly is more fluid and a more mobile attacker in some titles, MMX Corrupted is not seeking to be like those and be more like, well, the X series. I'm reasonably confident to do the combo attacks you'd still have to stand still in MMZ anyways.
