no.. a typical car sub will be 4ohm coils.. although most company's now build 2,4 and 8ohm. aswell as the dvc variants.. so people can pick what suits their application. I'm now running 2ohm on dual 4ohm.. so in actual fact they can be run in a car.. and quite successfully I'm guessing too!
well i have just looked them up and they are dual 4ohm or single 4ohm coils and a few people are already using them in cars.
well no not really.. my original comment was relating to the previous video with them other subs he put in the back of the car.. i and probably a few more people would love to see what they are capable of in a car.. then someone tried to get technical. by no means am I the best audio installer or know everything there is to know about installing car audio but i know enough. i left the comment not looking for an argument and hope one doesn't arise. as i said before.. i just want to see what they are capable of in a car.

Im looking for a subwoofer amplifier to run just one of these. I guess a 1000 watt rms single Channel should be what i’m looking for? Please give me some recommendations. I’m on a budget, so clean power for cheap is somewhat a criteria, unfortunately...

Hey. Nice setup. I still wonder where should I end up. Always went with PA speakers, but it´s overkill for home usage, and it didn´t go very low. Now with B&C 21DS115, I rattle everything at 50Watts of power, even at 15Hz on 31Hz tuned box. But EQ has to be enormous, because PA driver is so much more sensitive at 30+Hz... Why didn´t you go with Ultimax?
ultimax was out of stock and cant handle so much rms as the HO reference can.
(thats what he mentioned in one of his vids)

K even from the Mic it made my speakers move so much 😂😂😂 and I felt the air pushing from the 8 inch subs from 2 and a half ft away. Could've cranked it up a bit more but i don't really want to blow them and I have neighbors too haha

Hm is there a reason why you go for slotted ports? Flared round ones tend to be smoother.
It's actually backwards. Round ports tend to chuff.

Around 1:24 you can see the whole enclosure moving. This will translate to significant power loss.

I think the carpet is giving under the enclosure... but then again i didnt see any bracing in the last video so that may be enclosure vibration.
False, I'm running 1200 rms to a Sundown SA12 and my custom enclosure doesn't flex at all. Making sure there's no enclosure flex makes a huge difference.

If you meant power wise, he used a couple of PA Power amplifiers. Those run off of wall power.

PA stands for Public Adress/Announcement. It's also sound reinforcement. These amps and the complete array of things you might have alike these are PA. These days PA isn't specifically for things like festivals but also places where you need lots of power. Please think before you comment c:

They will feel warm but it's not excursion that kills a woofer's coil. It's heat. More excursion for the same amount of power will induce more cooling properties which does help to keep it cool.

Note that this box will only work best with his woofers or ones of the same model. Other woofers similarly rated might work fine too but if they're not meant to run in a box at ALL the box won't keep the woofer cone pressurized enough and it could buttom out.
