Or use the Command artifact if you disdain playing drizzle. EDIT: I'd recommend 2 hacking beacons as shown in the video, so just play Cap and pray for Rallypoint and a TC 280, usually they're not worth it but to unlock the beacons, they are. It saves you a hellava lot of time, to the point that when I don't play Cap, I hope for Siren's Call just so I don't have to farm.

Will-o-the-wisp and gasoline and the fresh meat and tooth necklace are great with the Please Forgive Me voodoo doll to deal stacking damage effects and especially so with a few fusion cells

Quite the vid, Woolie. I would like to add two things: 1. Another way to get more items other than Bulwark's Ambry consistently for a semi-experienced player is to visit Ambry's deranged brother - Void Fields. Now I wholeheartedly agree that going there on stage 1 can feel almost too easy, but going there on stage 3 to salvage a sub-optimal loop can be challenging enough (oh lawd those 3xred whip 5x syringe golems) to feel fair and give you just enough edge w/o looping. Plus you can always bail out if it gets too hard on ya. 2. There is another place where scrap can be traded and is often more worth keeping for - soup cauldrons at Newt's shop, as well as Soup island on Commencement itself. Granted, you're not going to go there every stage nor are those items guaranteed to be good, but if you **really** want to solidify your stage 4 experience, try to pay the froge on stage 3 so you can get all benefits in a row: throw scrap in cauldrons if worth and then ensure Abyssal/go to Void Cell if you're confident. If all goes well, you get at least 1 red out of it. Hope this helps someone!
Artifact of Vengence, wait for the Umbra to spawn, don't pick up any items in the meantime. Not having any other items should guarantee the Microbots drop. Note you can use other drones to help you defeat the Captain's Umbra and also note that the Microbots protect from the orbital strike.

so shatterspleen also has a base 5% crit meaning it is possible to get either 96% or 106% crit. also in theory you can do a lot of damage with your items now before mithrix fully sucks them up which makes the fight easier. even if they nerf his 4th phase health he is going to be a bit more difficult given how you can't get a leg up on him as he steals and gets benefits from all of your items. and since survivors don't scale like mobs do (mobs scale exponentially while survivors scale linearly) you are essentially fighting a mob who can cheaply move and one shot you despite being around level 25 by the time you fight him (on one loop)

I got the game 4 days ago, and today, I was able to go all the way to this location. Its a shame that I died to the second enemy here, and I didnt know how far I actually went in the game.
Even after the patch you can still cheese Mithrix since it doesn't take your fuel cell charges if you are not regenerating them by the time he takes your fuel cells. That coupled with the Royal Capacitor allows you to unleash multiple charges of it on him after he becomes vulnerable. Also that was some terrible luck when he used that slam on you, while you still had the Dio's Friend.

Also idk if you mentioned how other items get more priority (than before mithrix was a thing), such as cautious slug, chronobauble, high cal rounds, because they can help immensely during the fight. The equipment that makes you fly seems to always work pretty well against the boss if you character can dps during flight, as you can safely avoid pretty much everything he throws while in fought.
I got the game 4 days ago, and today, I was able to go all the way to this location. Its a shame that I died to the second enemy here, and I didnt know how far I actually went in the game.
after watching this video I consistently reach Mithrix and are defeated by him. Thanks.
If you want to unlock captain easy just turn on artifact of swarms and chaos. That way you can get the boss to kill itself.
50:20 never knew captains microbots get rid of the giant pillar attack.
48:24 Captains passive absorbs the mithrix wave which would've hit him, Pog!
