- Firstly, I must point out that this is not an official Premier Guitar authorised Rig Rundown video and I do not work for Premier Guitar. This video was made during an hour of waiting, yesterday, during a long soundcheck at a gig in Melbourne, Australia. However, I do wish to acknowledge my admiration for John and the guys at PG who never fail to entertain and enlighten. Theirs is one of the more valuable resources for guitarists on the internet, for sure. Perhaps I can talk to them about delivering some Australian content every now and then.
Josh Owen is a Melbourne based guitarist currently on the road with James Reyne of Australian Crawl fame. Josh also performs with Danni Minogue, Tina Arena and he has a good slew of solo projects in the can as well. Additionally he has recently taken to making very high quality UA-cam demos himself, mostly for acoustic guitar manufacturers. You can see his great work here: / acousticcentre

Hey Brett, saw you last nite (Feb 2) at the Palms with my sons who got me tix for xmas. Sounded fantastic and you probably saw us dancing in our seats.
They grew up on my Oz music and know all the songs. Congrats to all, was a gr8 show and you've got all the licks.
If you're doing the "A Crawl to Now" show in Wang this Friday I'll look you up as I'm going w/ my mate from Beechworth.

@@BrettKingman Cool. I read it's an acoustic set so will still enjoy. I think at Palms James said your keyboard player was AWOL, I'll be back at Palms again in a month or two as you're sounding so gr8, if you have keyboards do you do Rip it up? Great song and riff.
Mentioned my sons got the tix for Sat nite and #2 reminded me Oh no not you again was the first 3 chord song I taught him on acoustic. Both boys are in their 30's and have my 'old' taste in Oz music. You've been part of the sound track.

Haven’t watched yet, wondering what the ’Melbourne venue’ is? Love James Reyne, and any and all Musicians involved with the Iconic, historic (now 😃) songs and music from Reyne and Co. onya Mr. Kingman. As much a part of the James Reyne sound as anyone. 🙏

Did Brett play the guitar solo on “Motor’s Too Fast”? I’ve heard that Ian Bairnson, but it doesn’t sound like Ian.
I played a solo or two during the sessions, but the winning hand was indeed played by the late, great Ian Bairnson, during extra sessions in London. I have to play that solo every night and it's still a challenge!
