Thank you WW. I'm sure half of those buildings were not built the last time you walked the South Bank. lovely to hear the waves crashing in, in the middle of a city too!
@lovemycomputer37 You're welcome 😀 There's so much development going on, especially around Bankside at the moment, I can't wait to see how it all looks once finished.
London is a chameleon city. It's incredible to see all the well-known places and corners you passed in an hour of walking. Shakespeare's Globe is marvelous! (and the Shakespeare mural too) 😊 I just found out that HMS Belfast is a museum ship, it's really interesting. Despite the cloudy day, some rays of sun could be seen at the beginning of the video and gave a different appearance to the river. Thanks for another walk through London, I hope you have a nice weekend!
These would be a lot more fun if we could follow along in a A to Z (or the like). Problem is, you like to duck down alleyways or little narrow rights of way and it's almost impossible to track your movements after you pop back out or slip around a dark corner since you've stopped listing points of interest in your notes. It sure would help if you'd pop up a street name for a few seconds when you change streets. Sure, I realize this entails a ton more editing effort, but I think this is the kind of improvement that draw more people to this channel.
@donhalley5622 Hey Don, I'm not sure if you're aware but I was doing that for a couple of years in the closed-captions but it took just too long to do and made no difference to views. I still provide a link to a google route map in the description, so viewers can follow along on another device if they wish to.
@@WatchedWalker - Well, at least I asked. I know it's not as much fun for you as sneaking your "Watched Walker" messages in (which are flawless, by the way), but asking your followers to watch on two devices it a little over the top. I do print out the Google map, but of course I'm unable to do so at a scale that does any good once you've made a few twists and turns. Your list of highlights used to at least help orient me along the way but alas, they too seem to take up too much of your time. Maybe it's just time to leave you a final tip.
@@WatchedWalker Here in Missouri in the US it is 93F and with the humidity it feels like 101 F Monday is supposed to be 99 F , so with the humidity it will be 106-107 F. NANCY
@billlin9656 This was recorded earlier this month, the weather can vary so much here, it's often hard to predict, though it's supposed to be warming up soon.
Great to see you walking around the South Bank again as well as to the Tower Bridge and along the Thames River, another great walk around London thank you WW.🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Looks like summer has finally broken for you over there. Still waiting for it to take hold over here in the Pacific Northwest, but today is shaping up to be a nice one. I see some predictors are saying you might get some 40 degree temps this year..YIKES! Stay hydrated, my friend. Love your vids, but don't risk your health..(And go run through that fountain...You know you want to!) See ya in 182 days! 👍
@TheUluxian Thank you, I will try and be careful and not climb any steep streets in 40 degree heat as I've done in the past! I am looking forward to warmer weather and hopefully fully sunny days. Those fountains do look tempting in the heat 😀 They could do with some misting stations around the centre when it's that hot.
Hello WW. How are you? We've had a few challenges with mums health. As you know she fell down the stairs about 9 weeks ago and had her arm in a cast for 6 weeks. Her hand is still swollen and we are not sure if the sedative injection she was given when realigning her wrist is causing this. She's also had severe itching all over her body since. Plus, due to the fall she is more cautious walking now. Interestingly though since her fall, we have been to no fewer than 11 events in 9 weeks! We were at the NEC Birmingham for 4 nights, partly for two days at the combined BBC Gardener's World and Good Food Show. On Monday we were then supposed to go into Birmingham City Centre to enjoy the canals etc. But that morning, Mum collapsed in the shower at the hotel. I barely heard her call for help and she passed out and went all limp. I honestly thought I'd lost her for good and have never been so frightened. I know this is something that will happen eventually but I would never be expecting it any time soon or under those circumstances in a hotel shower. As a result of that incident, we stayed in the hotel room all day other than going down for breakfast. She's up and walking now but this incident has truly shaken me. You may be surprised to hear we are going ahead with plans to go to Blenheim Palace Flower Show this weekend. Heading up tomorrow with a side trip to London Olympia for a health show. We will park at the Livat Hammersmith as usual and make our way to Olympia. Not sure yet if we will walk it or the the number 9 or 27 bus between our car park and the venue. We may explore a bit around Kensington High Street after depending on how mum feels. We will then continue our journey to hotel in Bicester near Oxford and attend Blenheim Flower Show on Sunday. Returning to Canterbury on Monday. Mum has a couple of appointments for her hand, one of which is in July 1st which is Canada Day. Anyhow, just wanted you to know we are still very much subscribed to your channel and working on catching up on your wonderful videos as always. We are looking forward to this video as well as catching up on previous ones. As always, look out for the Canadian flag around Kensington High Street and London Olympia. Hope all is well with you.
@ibs5080 I'm so sorry to hear that about your mum, what a scary experience! Please keep going back to the doctors/hospital as it sounds like there is more going on with her, they may need to do further investigations. As much as you both love going for your trips, it might be an idea to stay home for a while until she is fully recovered, or at least do far less walking-I know first hand how tiring that can be. Anyway, I hope things improve and you both enjoy the trips you go on, all the best and take care.
Boy, Ibrahim, you and mum get around more injured than I do being perfectly healthy! lol You both take care of yourselves. When are you planning on returning to Vancouver? I'll be on your side of the pond in 182 days! The time cannot go by fast enough. Safe travels to you both.
@@TheUluxian Hello there and how are things in Orting WA? We are hoping to return to Vancouver next January for about 7 weeks, though nothing booked yet. Of course when we are there, we intend to cross the border into WA. As you may recall, Bellevue is practically our 3rd home. Re the events we've been attending, yes, it actually surprised me when I added them all up that we've been to that many. Very much hoping we can continue to do so. Time will tell. Anyhow, hope all is well with you in the PNW.
Happy summer WW how are you mate? Nice walk on a wonderful summer day here in this city & thanks for sharing always! Have a great weekend & stay safe! 😀👍💂♂🏴ɢʙ

Hi WW. A lovely walk. My favorites in this walk are Shakespeare's Globe and Tower Bridge. I saw three logos.

Hey WW! Thanks for making videos like these. May I request that you make a video doing a rainy walk in kensington palace gardens?
